With the new Celebrity Apprentice airing March 1, I had forgotten how much I love to watch this reality TV show. Rather being stranded on an island or some other obscure place in the world like Survivor, these celebrities work on projects for different companies for an amount they earn for their favorite charities providing they are that week’s team leader.
Of course, like all the other Apprentice shows there is an end of the year season winner. Rather than giving the money to the celebrity, it goes to their charity.
#1 Projects. There are quite a few different business projects the celebrities to win the challenge of the week for their favorite charity. Now that you know this, I like to watch the ideas they come up with for each of the projects. With the minds of these celebrities, the personalities clash because so many of them own their own lines of products. I will write more on why I like this in a second.
#2 Celebrities. We all have the ones we love and hate for what ever reason. I love to watch them get into their tifs and such. Sometimes I even see a different side of them we hardly ever see. I like seeing their business minds and personalities at work for the projects and to see what marketing ploy they will come up with.
#3 Marketing Techniques. I have learned a lot of different marketing techniques by watching both the regular and celebrity Apprentice shows. Believe it or not, this is one reality TV show you can learn something from whether or not you like Donald Trump. Mr. Trump has earned his millions, then lost it, and came back with a bang without knowing something about marketing his businesses.
#4 Learning Something About Business. Not only did I learn a lot about marketing by watching the Apprentice, I learned something about what other business owners look for in people they hire. I have also learned something about what products they make and the groups they want to appeal to. There are so many aspects you can learn about any business from this show.
#5 Personality Clashes of the Celebrities I don’t know about you, but I know there are fans of celebrities who like to see their cat fights. While in the back of my mind, I know this isn’t kosher to watch or even enjoy this, but I do. The drama celebrities create for themselves on purpose or maybe not on purpose, draws attention them and gains them further notoriety. It’s a crazy world we live, but the things we watch for entertainment is nuts.
#6 Personality Clashes in Business Yes, there’s always personality clashes in business. It doesn’t matter if your an employee, employer or the boss, you will always see personality clashes. The personality clashes that come with celebrities on this show is no different than real life. I expect and I believe Donald Trump and the producers of this show expect it. Why? Mainly for the ratings the show will get from the clashes.
#7 Picking Our Favorite to Win With any other reality show that has a group of people together, I like to pick my favorite celebrity to win the whole shebang. I know my personal favorite may or may not win, so I choose two favorites. Sometimes I even throw in the one I despise the most as one of my favorites to win. Crazy, isn’t it?
# 8 The Advice from Donald and His Chosen Panel By listening to the comments of Donald Trump and his two chosen executives to sit in on the board room with him, I have learned a few things from their observations. Sometimes I have noticed the same things as them and sometimes not. You may be surprised at the little things that are added to a project that shouldn’t be they will discuss, and vice versa.
#9 The Boardroom If you have ever watch the Apprentice in either form, the crap that goes on in there during the discussions of the projects is beyond believable. If you didn’t watch it, you wouldn’t believe it if someone told you so. I’ve seen fist fights cleaner than the verbal fights in the boardroom.
#10 You’re Fired Yes, I saved this for last on purpose. Listening to the reasons why the celebrities give for not being fired is just hilarious as the reasons the other Apprentice participants give. Sometimes, I would just fire them all with the nonsense they spout in the board room.
