1. Concord Mills Mall
Concord Mills Mall is near Charlotte about 2 miles away from the Lowe’s Motor Speedway, and it has been open since 1999. It has over 200 shops in it including specialty shops, retailers and manufacturer outlets. Concord Mills Mall is a great family mall, and it has something for everyone. Men seem to enjoy the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. Kids seem to love Build-A-Bear where they can pick out a bear or other animal to make into a stuffed animal, and dress it with clothes and accessories. Women love such stores as Ann Taylor Loft, Old Navy, and many others. One of the local favorite stores that are a must for a shopping experience is the BlackLion where individual retailers and designers sell their products in minishops in the store. The whole family has something fun to do. There is a 24-screen movie theater, an inner playground for small kids that depicts healthy vegetable characters, a huge food court in which there is a carousal to ride , arcades, a super cool NASCAR Speedpark where you can race go-karts, and tons of restaurants nearby. 2. SouthPark Mall
South Park Mall is known for being the most upscale mall in the Charlotte area. It is located about ten minutes south of uptown Charlotte. It carries the most top designer lines. Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom both have their own wings in the mall. There you will find Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Pottery Barn, Burberry, Nordstrom, Tiffany & Co., Ralph Lauren, Nine West, Abercrombie & Fitch, and many others. It also has special concierge services. They include gift wrap, delivery, executive services, valet service during the holidays, and special requests. It also has the famous restaurants called the CheeseCake Factory and Maggiore’s. 3. Northlake Mall
Northlake Mall is located north of Charlotte. It opened in September of 2005. Northlake Mall has about 150 shops and a 14-screen movie theater from AMC Theaters. Most suburban residents like to shop here. Most of the locals love taking kids there for their wonderful big play area. The play area is surrounded by Dippin Dots, Build-A-Bear, Annie’s Pretzel Place, and there is a Dairy Queen close by. The main stores there are Belk, Macy’s, Dillard’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Eastland Mall is about 15 minutes from uptown charlotte. It was built in 1975. A more urban crowd likes to shop here. The main stores are Sears, Belk, and Dillard’s. The best thing about this mall is its ice-skating rink. It is on the lowest level of the mall. During the December holidays the kids love to ride the train. The decor is older, but the mall is undergoing a huge tranisition with its adding new stores.
