Lets face it when you work full time sometimes you don’t want to go shopping. Between the crowds and the time you just don’t feel like going out and doing any shopping this holiday season. Don’t worry, there are still many options available for you to give gifts to your friends and family this holiday season.
If you are strapped for time you can hire a personal shopper. You provide the list and the top dollar amount you are willing to pay for the items and for a small additional fee you can hire a personal shopper that will go out and fight the crowds for you. Your shopping will be completed and you won’t have to face the crowds. Perhaps you can even hire your personal shopper to gift wrap your presents also. You can have all of your shopping done in a very short time this way and give yourself the luxury of spending more time with your family and friends. Even a teenager with a drivers license can be your personal shopper.
Shop year round. If you have a running list of friends and family and know what they like this may be a great option for you. I buy my holiday gifts year round in order to save money and time as well as avoid the crowd. Many stores offer loss leaders (deals in which the store actually loses money in order to bring in customers) and if you are savvy enough and watch closely you can really stock up on some things and save a bundle. Add that to a store that will gift wrap for you and what more can you ask for?
Shop online. Any time of the day or night you can jump on the internet and do your shopping. There are thousands of online sites to shop from or you can just target certain sites and have them let you know when you chosen items go on sale. E bay, Lutlot and woot are some great ideas for online shopping. Get great deals and save a bundle. Many will even ship to your recipient (thus saving you postages and time).
Gift certificates. For some this is a great idea. Though it may not seem as personal, sometimes it is just the thing. New brides often ask for gift certificates as they already have 3 toasters and 2 blenders. Sometimes they just want to go and finish a dish set or get something more personal and gift certificates often fit that bill.
Go together with a group of friends on a gift or perhaps with your siblings for another sibling or your parents. Just make sure that you are not the one that has to go and get the gift. Working together like this often makes shopping much easier both on the budget and for time.
