I enjoy eating tuna salad. Recently, I spotted Reser’s Deluxe Tuna Salad in the deli and lunch meat section of my local grocery store. The word “deluxe” got my attention. I wondered what made this tuna salad deluxe. I decided to purchase this product and try it out. Here is what I discovered!
Reser’s Deluxe Tuna Salad was a pricey product, in my opinion. It costs four dollars for a small twelve ounce container. One container has four servings in it. Still, that is not a very good bargain. I wanted to try this product to see what was so “deluxe” about it. It was obvious to me that the Reser’s fine food company thought a lot of this deluxe tuna salad, judging by the price of it. This product stated on the front of it that it contains water-packed tuna, crisp celery and sweet pickles. That sounded good to me. I like all of those ingredients.
You can serve this tuna salad in a wide variety of ways. You can make tuna salad sandwiches with it. You can have it along with pasta, to make a tuna pasta dish. You can serve it on crackers, on fresh vegetables and in many other exciting ways. I decided to try this product alone. When I tasted Reser’s Deluxe Tuna Salad, I immediately discovered why it was called “deluxe tuna salad” and I was impressed. This tuna salad is very subtle tasting. By that, I mean that the blend of tuna and all of the other ingredients are mixed so that this product does not taste too tuna fish like or strong. I liked that. The taste of this tuna salad is very good. I decided this product was perfect for a cracker or a sandwich but, it can be spread very thinly, if you desire. So, I decided to try it on some boiled eggs that I had sliced in half and scooped the yolk out of. This tuna salad was fantastic in them and I was more than pleased by their taste! They were yummy!
I also tried Reser’s Deluxe Tuna Salad on a sandwich with fresh tomato slices. Again, this deluxe tuna salad was a winner. Now, my only problem with this product is it’s high price. I have also had better tuna salad but, overall, this tuna salad was delicious. It has a smooth taste and smooth blend of ingredients. I rate Reser’s Deluxe Tuna Salad four stars out of five stars. It is deluxe, it is different from other brands of tuna salad that I have tried. What it is not is very budget friendly. I learned the differences in brands of tuna salad by doing this product review and it was interesting. Some of the ingredients in this deluxe tuna salad are worthy of mention, like, vegetable broth, lemon juice, bread crumbs, tapioca and clam juice. That is creative.
