Some of the qualities to look for in a neighborhood is safety. Is the neighborhood safe from crime and crooked activities? Also you want a neighborhood where people are friendly and they view the community as one big happy family in which everyone is looking out for each other.
You also want a neighborhood that gives you easy access to the highway and hopefully there are some shopping centers nearby.
If you have children then it is paramount that they have somewhere to play like a playground or park. If you want to see an example of a good park that has everything then you should take a look at Coulby Park in Wickliffe Ohio.
The City of Wickliffe is located in Northeast Ohio in Lake County, 12 miles east of Downtown Cleveland and 10 miles west of Painesville, the county seat. Wickliffe is 4.68 square miles.
I stumbled upon this park years ago when I was looking for a place to play basketball. This place is the greatest park around. What makes this park so special is the fact that it has something for everybody. For example on one side of the park there is a pond with a bridge that crosses it and you have ducks and geese that people feed all the time. They hang out in flocks. Also the scenery is so great that a lot of people come to Coulby Park to take pictures after they have gotten married. Next to the pond are some picnic tables and parallel to the tables are several baseball diamonds that a lot of little league teams use.
And there is an area where water runs down some rocks which is also utilized by newlyweds. Now as we begin to cross the park starting at the pond and the bridge which is the beginning of the park, we come to the swings where the children just love to swing from. Continuing to cross the park we come to the area where the picnic tables under the shelters reside and right across from the shelters are the sand volley ball pits and this area seems to attract everyone. We don’t want to stop moving now because in plain sight is the play area for very little kids surrounded by a fence, and inside are spring propelled rocking horses and sand boxes.
It’s a good thing this area is fenced in because the basketball courts are right next door and the fence is the only thing that keeps the children from being kit with a stray basketball. Right next to the courts forming an “L” shape are the tennis courts. Across from the tennis courts are the swimming pools which the residents frequent on a hot muggy, humid day. The pool is equipped with water slides for the adventurous soul looking for a thrill.
That’s right something for everyone. Another great feature of this park is that it is never overly crowded even on holidays when everyone is clamoring to cook out and just have fun. You have a nice crowd but again it is never overcrowded and provides an outlet for a good and comfortable time for anyone. Did I also mention there’s a place for the tennis players to warm up by hitting the ball against a wall. The picnic tables provide a place for those that just want to relax and enjoy the scenery.
