Recently I picked up two jars of eye cream. One came from Avon, the other was purchased at Walmart.
Avon Eye Perfector by Avon Solutions.
I purchased the 0.05 fl oz jar from Avon. The jar is certainly fancier by appearance than the Walmart Equate brand, but that is the only thing better with this product (plus fancier packaging does not help my eyes). I turned the jar lid to find some really watery-consistency stuff that they call eye cream. Thinking that maybe I was being too harsh judging the product by it’s consistency, and before I even used it, so I then tested the product for two weeks. Every night before bed I have applied this product. It is very thin feeling on the skin (even on your finger it almost drips), and should in no way count as an eye cream. A cream is actually thick, right? Of course, no where on the packaging does Avon claim it to be CREAM, which is why they call it perfector (yeah right), but what else would a person think they were getting when purchasing eye CREAM. I still sampled the product for two weeks. Throughout the process I noticed no difference in my eye area whatsoever. Daily I check the progress and found no noticeable difference. Seriously, this watery product is much to thin to be useful. However, it’s not like you can tell this by looking at the jar. Eye products are not cheap, in my opinion, so I almost feel like I’ve been had.
Directions for Use: “Every morning or evening, pat gently under eye area in an upward motion until absorbed.” This product is stamped Made in the U.S.A., however there is no U.S.A. quality to this item.
I do not recommend Avon’s Eye Perfector, and will not be using it again. For the record, I usually find Avon’s beauty products to be good quality, not this one though.
Equate Advanced Firming Eye Day/Night Cream.
I bought this item at Walmart for under $10. I do not like spending $20 dollars on any eye product, which is how I came across this item. I figured for the price it had to be worth checking out. The little white jar claims “SATISFACTION GUARANTEED BY REFUND OR EXCHANGE.” You can’t beat a deal like that! I figure if the manufacturer is willing to give me my money back, well, that makes it worth the effort. So many eye creams are over-priced and do nothing for my skin. This product is made in Israel. It is distributed by Walmart. It comes in a solid jar and contains 0.05 fluid ounce of eye cream. I tried this product for two weeks and did notice a noticeable difference after using it. My eyes were less puffy and more moisturized after using this proudct. The skin seems more alive and replenished after using it. I will be using this product again, and I highly recommend it. Best of all this product is a really thick cream and it goes a long way. This thick eye cream really is impressive and comes in a cute little glass jar with a chrome stripe design.
