If you’re a fan of great omelets like I am, you’ll love Another Broken Egg, a restaurant specializing in wonderful breakfast items. The location in the Sandestin resort in Destin, Florida, is the ideal place for a leisurely breakfast in a resort setting.
I visited Another Broken Egg located in the Sandestin resort’s village center with some friends while Christmas shopping. Sandestin is a beautiful golf resort and community located in Miramar Beach, Florida which is part of the greater Destin area. Another Broken Egg is a chain of restaurants located in Florida, Louisiana, and Alabama. They have three locations in the Destin area. However, I recommend the Sandestin location for the great setting of this location. It is located in the Sandestin resort’s Village of Baytowne Wharf. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the marina and is just steps away from the boutiques, galleries, and other shops of the village.
The restaurant’s website at www.anotherbrokenegg.com highlights the company’s focus on fresh ingredients in all of its food, the quality of its food, and its presentation. They offer a variety of dishes for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Another Broken Egg is a great place to host special occasions such as brunches, rehearsal dinners, evening socials, and other events.
Being a fan of omelets, I knew that I would order an omelet even before I sat down. The fact that they had a variety of tempting omelets made my mouth water as I tried to make a decision. Another Broken Egg ‘s omelet choices, called Egg-Straordinary Omelettes, range from The Floridian which has sautéed fresh crabmeat, garlic and green onion covering a cream cheese filling and melted jack cheese; The Italiano, which has sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, Italian seasonings, and marinara topped with parmesan cheese; Bacado, which has crisp bacon and avocado slices with Monterey jack cheese; and Hey Ricky!, a Spanish omelet with avocado slices, onions, green chiles, and melted cheeses. I chose Stan’s #1, which has crawfish, shrimp, mushrooms, ham, special Cajun seasonings, and both cheddar and jack cheeses. Many of their selections feature crawfish and shrimp which capture the chain’s heritage of its Louisiana origins. Each omelet comes with country potatoes, English muffin, and fruit slice garnish.
The staff was very friendly and attentive which made our visit very enjoyable. Our food arrived very promptly and was very delicious. We enjoyed our food and it lived up to the company’s goal of fresh, quality food. I would strongly recommend Stan’s #1 or the Italiano. I can’t wait for another visit to Another Broken Egg to try some of their other omelet choices.
Another Broken Egg offers the traditional breakfasts with bacon, ham, sausage, T-bone steak and pork chops as main items. The side items include eggs, potatoes, English muffin, and fruit garnish. The also feature Potatoes Sensations which are country potatoes that can be cooked with a variety of ingredients such as green peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, bacon, chicken, and ham. Even spinach and asparagus can be added to create your own taste sensation. Another Broken Egg offer other non-breakfast items such as specialty sandwiches and burgers. Some of the offerings on the lunch menu include chicken salad sandwiches, Greek Isle Wrap, Mediterranean Veggie Stack, BBQ Burger, and other traditional sandwiches and burgers. They even have homemade soup and they offer a children’s menu.
I would strongly recommend Another Broken Egg for a breakfast outing and if you are in the Destin area be sure to visit the Sandestin location. They have locations in Baton Rouge, LA, Panama City, FL, Huntsville, AL, Mandeville, LA, Lafayette, LA, Tallahassee, FL, and of course Destin, FL. They are open from 7 am to 2 pm daily.
