Even though your parents are adults and, in many cases, now quite old, a lot of them still love hanging stockings at Christmas. An empty stocking though is a sad stocking so you probably like to buy stocking stuffers for your parents too. What’s great though, is you don’t actually have to spend a lot of money on stocking stuffers for parents and they’ll still love opening their stockings on Christmas morning and checking out all their cool stash. Cheap stocking stuffers are everywhere. Just check out these ideas for cheap stocking stuffers for your parents and you’ll be able to spend a bit less money this Christmas season.
Scratch off Lottery Tickets – Really great stocking stuffers for parents are scratch off lottery tickets. Available in most states in amounts of $1, $2, $3 and $5, not only are they cheap stocking stuffers for parents, but your parents might actually win a lot more money. Now wouldn’t that be a cool Christmas gift!
Target E-Gift Cards – You can get Target e- gift cards for as little as $5. Just order them online and print out the receipt, then put in a pretty envelope addressed to your Mom or Dad and stuff in their stocking for a very useful stocking stuffer.
Dollar Store or Big Lots Store Items – Some of my favorite stores in the US are Dollar Stores and Big Lots. You can get amazing items here for $1 (or less) to $5, which would make fun and cheap stocking stuffers for your parents. Chocolate, bath products, pet treats, kitchen items, books, DVDs, CDs, tools and more. All are awesome cheap stocking stuffers that any parent would like.
High-End Chocolate – You can buy exclusive and expensive chocolate in tiny amounts for $2-$3. Normally, my parents wouldn’t spend money on high-end chocolate, but they would love getting it as a stocking stuffer.
Licorice or Other Candy – My Dad loves licorice sticks. At around $2 for a big bag, if your Dad likes licorice these go down a treat. Problem is, I usually have to buy two bags for my Dad as he eats them so fast! Bags of licorice or any other candy can be a great hit for a stocking stuffer if your parents have a sweet tooth.
Disposable Razors – Disposable razors are only $2-$3 a pack, yet they’ll come in really useful if your Dad has to take a business trip or a short holiday. He won’t have to lug his electric razor with him and can throw them away before he goes home.
Handmade Soaps – A bar of handmade soap can be bought at many stores for between $2 and $4. Handmade soap smells really lovely and your Mom (or Dad) will feel completely pampered with a nice perfumed bar of soap. They’re small too, so fit perfectly into a Christmas stocking as a stuffer.
Vitamins – At 7-11s and other convenience stores, you can buy packs of vitamins and mineral supplements. Each packet is one day’s supply and is great for a cheap stocking stuffer for your parents. Vitamins help keep your parents healthy and we all want healthy parents, so these are wonderful.
Don’t forget, there are many things you can buy for less than $5 that will make fabulous stocking stuffers for your parents. Use a little bit of imagination. Think about what your parents like. Think about little treats they don’t always buy themselves, and buy them a few to stuff their stockings this Christmas.
