Most babies love having baths, but they love bath toys even more. Baby bath toys make bath time really fun, develop your child’s motor skills, and take baby’s mind away from nasty things like soap in the eyes and getting their hair washed. The best baby bath toys are not always the most expensive though. Check out these baby bath toys. You might be surprised at how little they cost.
Scoop Pour n’ Squirt Fish – Babies love to scoop water up and pour it out somewhere. This really cute scoop and pour baby bath toy is in the shape of a big fish, with two little fish inside it. You can take out the little fish and suck up water with them then squirt the water out of their mouths. The big fish is shaped like a big fish teapot. You scoop water into its body and then let it strain out of its mouth. It’s bright, colorful and a lot of fun for bath time. It’s also less than $8.
Water Whistle – Just because you’re in the bath, it doesn’t mean you can’t make noise. This fun baby bath toy Water Whistle by Alex is only $7, yet your baby will get hours of fun out of it. It’s brightly colored but looks like a recorder, except it’s made all out of plastic. No matter how wet this water whistle gets, it will still make a lot of noise.
Squirters -Squirters are awesome baby bath toys. They’re cheap (usually less than $6) and they come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, mermaids, penguins, yellow rubber duckies, dinosaurs, school buses, you name it – you suck up the water in them then press the squirter so the water squirts out of the hole. Just make sure you’re far enough away when your baby gets the hang of these and lay towels on the bathroom floor so you’re not suddenly standing in a swampland.
Faucet Friends – We don’t always think about it, but bath faucets can be dangerous for little heads and eyes. Buy a faucet friend (a soft toy that fits over your faucet and knobs, protecting your baby from the solid metal). They come in duck shapes, elephant shapes, penguin shapes and more. They make bath time fun, while at the same time making sure your precious baby doesn’t get whacked in the head from a sudden slide backward and an impact on the faucet. Only about $12.
White Hot Super Safety Ducky by Munchkin – This cute little duckie dressed up as a fireman, complete with firehose and helmet, looks really cute bobbing around on the surface of the bath. The cool thing with these safety duckies though is that they have a White Hot Disc at the bottom of them, which will tell you if the bath water is too hot for your baby’s sensitive skin. A great deal at only $4.
Rub a Dub Draw in the Tub by Alex – Sometimes baby gets bored in the bath so a baby drawing bath toy is perfect to keep their mind off things at hand and on something creative and cool. Rub a Dub Draw in the Tub is a box of colorful crayons and a yellow sponge shaped like a duck. The crayons are awesome for drawing on porcelain tile then you can dampen the duck sponge and wipe it off once your baby is done.
Swirly Sea Horse Bath Toy By Boogaloo – These cool plastic baby bath toys come in purple and green and pink and blue. You scoop up water then watch as the water dribbled through the sea horse.
