With the weather being so beautiful Saturday for the opening weekend of the Richmond Olympic Oval, the buses are certainly going to be busy getting to this brand new Olympic rink. Outlined below are helpful links to get you straight to the information you need about parking, bus, or arriving on foot as well as what’s scheduled for the remaining opening weekend events on Saturday. Or if after reading, you decide you would prefer to shun the crowds and go another day, there’s information included about when you can tour the facility.
The event organizers suggest leaving your car at home. Walk if you live in Richmond or take a bus. The new Olympic Oval rink is located close to the Vancouver International Airport. You may even want to take a taxi. Click here for information about parking.
To give you a rough idea of how long it’ll take to get by bus to the Richmond Olympic Oval, the bus ride from Pacific Center is roughly 45 minutes with the bus transfers. Click here for bus information from Richmond and Vancouver.

See this remarkable facility up front as Richmond Olympic Oval ambassadors tour this one-of-a-kind speed skating arena, highlight the history, architecture, operations, art and sustainability features that make this a showcased Olympic venue.
It’s best to come dressed for outdoor weather. Meet in the main lobby at least 15 minutes ahead as space is limited on a first come first served basis. No reservations are required or necessary. If you would like to make arrangements for a group tour, call 778-296-1452.
