The Beyonce Diva Video is getting a lot of attention with its premiere release on iTunes. This is the third single off Beyonce’s album “I Am… Sasha Fierce”, and is sure to shoot to number one soon after it has made its rounds on the internet. The video for the song called “Diva” is premiering on iTunes, but will soon be all over the internet as fans are clamoring to see the latest installment that the pop star is putting out there. Usually songs from Beyonce make it in to the top 10 quite quickly, with many of them hitting the top of most music charts.
This video is a bit different than anything we have seen from Beyonce before, simply because of the subject matter of the song, and the presentation of the lyrics. It follows a theme that she has been using on this album, where three dancers appear in the video, but this song isn’t much like the first two singles that have come off of “Sasha.” The song is a little harder, and definitely sets up her persona as a diva successfully, as it showcases her in tight outfits doing choreographed dances that are sure to please her fans. The song also doesn’t flow quite as well, but that will probably lead to it being more exciting on the dance floor.
Beyonce has found a lot of success with her “Sasha” album, with the singles “If I were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” already finding a lot of success both on the radio and as videos. This marks the third single in as many months to come off the “Sasha” album, and should certainly only increase sales on the double-disc release. The CD marks the departure from typical Beyonce releases, because she is trying out a new persona (Sasha Fierce) in order to show a new side of her music. A lot of fans haven’t cared that much about the alter-ego, but still like her musical accompaniments enough to buy the CD.
The CD debuted at #1 on the charts, and became one of the most successful albums of 2008. It is still looking to sell well heading into the new year, and the latest single will only help to propel sales even more. This is however, one of those videos that is a departure from past works, and as such, may take a few viewings or listening before the general audience picks up on the song. Fans of the album will have already heard the song, and will know what to expect, but other music listeners may not be able to get into the song right away. That’s all right though, because it probably won’t be going anywhere, and should be heard on radio top 40 stations for quite a few weeks to months now.
