Are you the type of guy who goes to the carnival with intentions of winning your girlfriend a prize but only end up winning an empty pocket? Well fret no more my friend because I’m about to give you all the secrets that I know about carnival games. I, like many other pure blooded men, love to take any and every opportunity to show my skills off! However, at the carnival, there is a problem. The scales have been tipped rather heavily in favor of the operators. So now it’s time to make the field even again!
I will be giving you tips on how to win at four different games. In this article the games that I am going to discuss are basketball, darts, shooting the star and fooling the guesser. First I will talk about the basketball game. In this game you are challenged to make a seemingly simple basketball shot. The first thing to know is that if you try to use the backboard to make the basket, it will bounce the ball right back at you . Secondly you have to realize that putting rotation on the ball will only make it bounce off of the rim. What you have to do is lob the ball toward the goal in an attempt to make a shot that drops into the net like a rainbow.
When you’re shooting darts, there is no advice I can give to you concerning improving your accuracy. All I can suggest is aiming a little higher than what your shooting for. The balloons that hang on the wall are barely inflated which makes it hard to pop them. The majority of the darts are dull and this doesn’t help the situation either. If you are really sneaky, you can use something to sharpen the tip while the operator is looking away. You could also use a lighter to heat the end of the dart while your friend causes a distraction! If you can’t do this, just aim close to the balloons knot. This is the place where the rubber gets stretched the most and will make for a nice place to break the balloon.
Shooting the star has probably taken the most money from me personally. I was enticed by the game when I first saw it because I am a pretty good shooter at the shooting range. Unfortunately, the guy who operated the game let me spend about $100 before you told me the secret! Obviously, at the shooting range the object is to shoot directly at the target. In this game, you can accomplish taking the target out only by shooting all the way around the target. Aim for the tips of the star and try to make your way around the star. If you make it around the circle before your bullets run out, you will have won yourself a handsome prize.
The last game I’m going to talk about is called fooling the guesser. You have an option of letting the operator guess your weight, age or month you were born. This is my favorite tip of all because it involves basic math. Someone can look their age and also their weight, but there is no indication of the month you are born. The operator of this game has to be within one month range of your birthday. So they only have 3 months which would make them correct. This means you have a 75% chance of walking away with the prize! My last tip is one that doesn’t involve games at all. Operators are in the business of profit and they make a lot of money off of suckers with too much pride and not enough skill. Instead of actually playing the game, ask the owner of the game how much would it cost to buy the prize. You will be surprised how cheap they are willing to let them go for.
