Have you procrastinated a little too long over Valentine’s Day and still haven’t figured out what to get your wife or girlfriend? Do you want to ensure that she’s not disappointed with the usual flowers and box of chocolates? Well, worry no more, because all you have to do is fill a pink or red basket, which you should be able to find at a craft store, with a few of these cheap red and pink small gift ideas:
Breast Cancer Awareness Items – Target has a great selection of breast cancer awareness jewelry, but I really like the bright pink Swiss army knife sold there. The great thing about items like these is that they all come in a perfect Valentine’s Day color, and part of the money you spend on them goes toward the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Other items I’ve seen at the store that promote breast cancer awareness (and the color pink!) are garden tool sets, gloves, a chocolate fondue set, and even a flat iron.
Lotion – Pink lotion is very easy to find. I love just about any of Victoria’s Secret’s great secret garden scents, and while you’re there, you could pick your lovely lady up a few of the next items on this list.
Comfy Loungewear – Whether it’s a pair of classic silky pajamas, a soft cotton cami and mini boxers, or something a little sexier, pick out something you know she’ll love to lounge around in, and be sure to make it sexy red!
Bath Cupcake – Bath & Body Works has one of the most adorable gifts I’ve ever seen. It looks like a cupcake covered in creamy pink icing, but it’s really yummy-smelling bubble bath that dissolves in the water.
A Fuzzy Throw – Look for a soft, red throw blanket at a store like Bed Bath & Beyond for her to snuggle up with and think of you on chilly nights. Just do her a favor, though, and avoid the Snuggie!
Candle – While you’re at Bed Bath and Beyond, check out their selections of Yankee Candles for a scent in pink or red that you’ll know she’ll love.
Other Items – Other items you could find at stores like Target would be Lip Smackers in yummy flavors, hair barrettes, pedicure sets, a Dove chocolate rose, eye mask, photo albums or frames, or any other items in pink or red that are unique to who you are shopping for. A pink or red teddy bear is also always nice; I know I have never grown out of loving stuffed animals!
You may have to look around a little to fill your gift basket, but as long as you focus on all things red and pink, you should end up with a very pretty array of items that it looks like you spent days shopping for. She’ll love the fact that you spent all that time on her making a gift basket of your own rather than ordering one more than she loves the items in it.
