Yet another new product for me is Cover Girl Smoothers Make up. C.V.S. had it in their Sunday coupon book at $7.99 with an instant print off receipt for $7.99. This was another deal I could not refuse.
It took me a little while to decide on a color but beige seems to work for me. I like a shade lighter than my dark tanned Florida skin.
The bottle is an upside down one. It actually stands on the black lid. It is shaped so that the top is slightly smaller and rounded. The contents is 1 fluid ounce (30ml). It sits in your hand flat and if you are traveling it doesn’t take up very much room. I do like the design of the bottle.
To open the bottle you just twist the black lid once and it comes off. It looks as if there is liquid coming out of the bottle but that is an illusion. You only have to give the bottle a small squeeze for a dollop of the liquid make up to come out.
It is creamy, and a slightly thicker product, than I imagined. I had it on the tips of my fingers and then applied it to my face and neck area. It blended in really well with very little rubbing. The great thing about it was that it didn’t feel like a liquid make up. It was not heavy like some of the old fashioned types. It was light and almost as if I wasn’t even wearing it. The color was perfect for my complexion. My face looked really good and it evened out any marks that I might have had.
This make up is really easy to remove. Just plain soap and water will take it off with ease, or you can use any make up remover, but it is not necessary.
Trying to read the really small print on the back of the bottle it states;
‘Smoothers Make Up continually hydrates skin for 11 hours helping skin look smooth and naturally beautiful.’
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Talc, Sodium Chloride, Dimethicone Copolyol, Arachidyl Behenate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenyloxyethanol, Stearic Acid, Ethylene Brassylate, Trihydroxystearin, Trisodium EDTA, Silica, Dimethicone, Synthetic Wax, Propylparaben, Barium Sulfate, Methicone, Aluminum Hydroxide, Laureth-7, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, and Mica
I don’t use liquid make up during the day because I tend to use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. Florida sunshine can do so much damage to the skin. When I do use Cover Girl Smoothers it is normally late afternoon before a dinner and dance. The make up looks good but the longest time I have worn it out would be 7 hours. I don’t know how it would stand up for 11 hours.
With any face make up I use, after awhile I do see that my crow’s feet lines are a little more prominent. I don’t know if this happens with other people or whether it is because I have bofical glasses and they do magnify under my eyes.
Cover Girl Smoothers Make Up is fragrance free, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, and safe for sensitive skin. It comes in 15 different shades.
