Next time you want to take your little sweetheart out to eat (maybe you missed a big date, and you want to make it up to her…), try something new and exciting. It’s Chinese, but this time it’s on the upscale side.
It’s called Cuisine Malaya, and you can begin to feel the romance of this place just when you say the name (go ahead, say the name to her and watch as her face lights with enthusiasm)! It’s located at 1411 Elizabeth Avenue, in Charlotte, North Carolina. That’s right – they’re in the downtown / uptown section where you probably took her out for a night on the town anyway!
You’ve never tasted authentic Chinese food like this before. Start off with a great beverage, like their special Mango Ice Tea, Thai Ice Tea, or even a Red Bull or Malaysian Coffee! It’s great especially if you know your little sweetheart is trying to stay healthy. They also offer Hot Green Tea, which you may just hear her asking for – after all, it’s probably what she’s trying to drink at home!
If you are out for a night on the town, let me share the dinner menu with you. Why not start off with an appetizer, like Popiah for $2.95, Malay Satay (you can have your choice of chicken, beef, or scallops) for $5.95. The two of you will really enjoy that. Or, go with your choice of shrimp as an appetizer – always romantic – like Wasabi Shrimp for $6.95, Crispy Wrapped Shrimp for $5.95, Shrimp Shumai for $4.25, and the list goes on.
Ok enough of the appetizers, even though they all are a great start. Why not order something from the Hibachi Grill? Everything you can order from here are served with fried or white rice, like the Teriyaki Chicken, $9.95 (or try it in steak, salmon, scallops, or shrimp); Yakinku Steak (it’s made with a great special sauce), $10.95; and many other combinations. You may find what you’re looking for as well on Seafood menu, like Curry Shrimp (so hot and spicy, it’s great!) for $14.95, or go for the Sizzling Trio served with squid, scallop, and shrimp for just $15.95.
You may want to find out if your honey is into sushi too, or maybe you want to surprise her with something new and exciting. . . try Nigiri, Sushi Rolls, Hand Rolls, and other specials – and they all come in her favorites including salmon!
This is a great place to take your pals, too, on a lunch excursion. You can choose from many options, including one of my favorites – the soup menu. But things like the Hibachi Grill are always open at lunch time, too, to feed the more ferocious and discerning appetites!
Come enjoy Cuisine Malaya! You haven’t eaten like this in a while.
