Despite the surprising surge in spending Black Friday Weekend ($41 billion total), the economy hasn’t settled down just yet. This has left businesses who often rely on winter month traffic to provide some sales of their own. Broadway is no exception. Discounted tickets and special deals aren’t unusual for the New York theatres. However, they’re stepping it up due to tight wallets.
Disney Theatrical Productions is offering one of the best deals, an offer called Kids Go Free! which will allow children under 18 to attend a Disney show free for every full-price adult ticket purchased. A clever strategy, considering that the tickets are applicable for three children’s favorites– Mary Poppins, The Lion King and the new The Little Mermaid.
The sale is applicable for performances from January 6 to March 13, 2009. The tickets must be purchased between December 1st 10AM EST and December 12th at 11:59PM. The sale works with the purchase of one full-priced orchestra/front mezzanine ticket. The limit is14 persons per person per 7-day period and is not applicable to groups.
