Mel Gibbson caught up in a DUI situation, Brittney Spears decides to cut off all of her hair, Jennifer Anniston seen kissing someone. Lady Dianne killed in a car accident being chased by photographers.
We all like to take a peek into the lives of the hottest entertainers alive today. But, at what cost? Many of the stars have people spying on them night and day, they never get a true minute of peace.
How would you feel if someone was constantly following you around with a camera or listening on the other end of your telephone finding out your most intimate secrets? Better yet, how would you like it if someone told the world what exactly you were shopping for in the super market.
There is a ton of invasion of privacy out there, the media in many aspects will go to far to and we as the public seeing this just eat it up.
At some point when do we say enough is enough, typically it is when something has gone terribly wrong in the entainers life, then we as a public decide they are completely crazy and don’t want to hear anymore about them.
It is true that many wanted a life and a profile that stood out from the rest of us, but at what cost do they finally say enough. The cost of a life is huge, in the case of Lady Dianne I feel the press overstepped their bounds greatly. Sure it has been several years since this occurred, but we really should take a hard look at this situation. Many of the stars are faced with issues similar to this where they are trapped literally in their cars with thousands of people all around them. All they want to do is be like us, get to their next destination take another step in life that they normally take with out being stuck in a pile of people affraid of moving for fear of being sued for something stupid as a camera being busted because a photographer just had to get a shot of them picking their nose behind the wheel of their car.
Yes, the entertainers have some control over some of the publicity that is going on all around them, but in some cases they don’t. When they have something exciting and new, their agents or publiscist will put out the information to the public. It could be the release of their latest movie, a new step in their lives for example from acting to singing or maybe into the world of sports. What ever they want the public to know, they usually tell us.
But, when the media decides to take it upon themselves, create a bunch of lies then the entertainers are left dumb founded and having to clean up huge misunderstanding involving their lives.
We as the public in some aspects need to try and respect the entertainers, give them their space so that they can go on with their normal lives. The simple act of going out to dinner. Okay so the guy ate a steak at the newest restaurant in town, great publicity for the restaurant, thanks, but now let the guy get in his car and go home or where ever he is heading, back off don’t get in their face with that camera.
if you see someone that you recognize as an entertainer, let them have their space to be a normal person. Let them be a part of the community in their own way. If they speak to you, be nice and speak back, don’t fall all over them act like a respectable human being. In the end the entertainer will appreciate you treating them as an equal instead of a queen or king.
Many entertainers have developed ways of letting the public now what they feel needs to be known, through the internet some find relief in speaking their minds and saying what they feel. They let us into their worlds in their own way and that’s the way it should be.
In the 1920’s and 30’s our people were a kinder gentler people, we were more respectful to those who have taken measures to entertain us. Today, we have become so agressive in wanting to meet stars and pushing our way into their lives that we have become very rude in our pursuits.
Remember entertainers are people too. They put their pants on the same way you do every morning, they brush their teeth, wash their hair. Their lives aren’t all that much different than ours, okay, they make a bit more because of what they can do to keep us entertained in movies, music, television shows and more.
If you do happen to bump into an entertainer simply be kind, say hello and let them go on their way, don’t get in their way, let them be. Remember this saying: “Treat others the way you wish to be treated.”
Let’s give entertainers the space they need to be humans like the rest of us.
