Easter Basket Goodies for Tween Girls

by yup tab

While tweens may no longer believe in the existence of the Easter Bunny, waking up on Easter morning to a basket full of goodies still adds great enjoyment to the holiday. Filling a gaily decorated basket with trinkets and treats for your tween is a wonderful way to continue a family tradition and make the holiday special and memorable. Here are some ideas and suggestions on what to include in your tween daughter’s Easter basket this year.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Smencils. Smencils are a fun treat that is also eco friendly. These scented pencils are made from recycled paper and are available in several different varieties including Cotton Candy, Bubble Gum and Cherry. Smencils can be purchased at arts and crafts stores and Five Below and cost only $1.50 each.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Appropriate Makeup. Girls as young as eight love to experiment and play with makeup. While you certainly wouldn’t approve of your tween daughter going to school or out to play with a full face of foundation, mascara and eyeliner, lip gloss, nail polish and body sprays are fun makeup gifts that are perfect for your tween’s Easter basket.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Trial Size Beauty Products. Visit your local drugstore or dollar store to stock up on shampoos, conditioners, body washes and scented body lotions. Travel size hairbrushes, manicure sets and soaps are also great to include in an Easter basket for tween girls.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Cell Phone. If your tween daughter has been pestering you for her own cell phone and you have decided that the time is right, surprise her on Easter morning by placing it in her Easter basket. Charge it the night before so it is all set for her to make holiday phone calls to friends and family.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Gift Certificates. You may choose to offer your daughter a simple gift basket for Easter with just a few pieces of candy and include a gift certificate to her favorite clothing, music or bookstore. Surprising her with a gift certificate can provide her with the opportunity to add some Spring clothes to her wardrobe or pick up the newest CD from her favorite recording artist. Tween girls love to shop which makes including a gift certificate in her Easter basket a treat that she will surely appreciate.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Sugar Free Gum. Chewing sugar free gum can actually be beneficial to the teeth. A few packets of sugar free gum in your tween’s Easter Basket can help to balance out the sweets and encourage good dental hygiene.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: Jewelry. Tween girls don’t need the most expensive jewelry in the stores to make them feel special and in style. A nice charm bracelet, locket or pair of earrings will surely please your very special young lady.

Easter Basket Treats For Tweens: DVD. A DVD featuring Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Demi Lovato or the Jonas Brothers will surely please your tween daughter. “Camp Rock,” “High School Musical” or a season of “The Wizards Of Waverly Place” are all great choices for your tween’s Easter basket.
