Here are five great Christmas gifts that keep on giving throughout the year – I love getting Christmas gifts that are useful and that last all year long, especially when I know I can count on getting them year after year. Here are just a few gifts that you could conceivably renew each year for that special person at Christmas time
.) Calendars– These make great Christmas gifts for work or home. The trick is finding a gift calendar that will fit the recipient’s personality. You can get great calendars at brick and mortar stores like, Hallmark Gift Stores and Franklin Covey, and online calendar stores like Calendars.com. Your friends, employees or family will be sure to think of you throughout the coming year as they use their calendars. Last Christmas, I received a calendar that portrayed the theme from one of my favorite TV shows, The Office, starring Steve Carell. For those of you that haven’t seen the show ,it’s a hilarious parody on the routines and work habits of the employees of a fictional paper company, Dunder-Mifflin. The calendar featured memorable and very funny scenes from the shows best episodes. Best of all co-workers enjoyed looking at my calendar, too.
.) Book Club Membership- Just think how great the avid reader in your life will feel every time they read a new book received as a Christmas present from you. The great thing is you don’t have to guess what book they might want to read. Booksfree.com will automatically mail books to your loved ones. They get a free return mailer for returning the book. This makes a great Christmas gift for people who are unable to get about town on their own.
.) Costco Card-Membership wholesale warehouses are a great way for many people on a budget to save money. But the membership fees can pinch an already tight pocket. Give the Christmas gift that keeps saving them money all year long. Make sure to pick a club membership warehouse that is in their neighborhood. It’s easy to do by going to the store locator on the membership warehouse website.
.) Magazine Subscriptions– Everyone has a favorite magazine. This is a great Christmas gift for teenagers. They’ll look forward to getting something in the mail besides a report card. Publishers Clearing House (www.pch.com) is still the number one source for magazine subscriptions.
.) Netflix Membership- This is my personal favorite. I’ve given this Christmas gift numerous times and it’s truly been appreciated. Netflix has monthly plans for as low as 4.99. These Christmas gifts are as perfect for the elderly as they are for the college student. I gave this Christmas gift to a friend shortly after she had her first baby. She and her husband loved being able to rent movies and video games without having to leave home.
