The first single off of Folie à Deux is I Don’t Care. The song is more of the same that you have come to expect from Fall Out Boy. The song is a catchy rock anthem with a strong chorus that will stay in your head after a single listen.
The second single is America’s Suitehearts. The track is different musically than what you expect from Fall Out Boy. The track is not as heavy, more upbeat and easier to get into as a listener.
The third single is What A Catch, Donnie. The song features various artists singing lines from other Fall Out Boy songs. Elvis Costello, Travis McCoy, Gabe Saporta, Brandon Urie, Doug Neumann, Alex DeLeon and William Beckett are among the artists featured on the song. The concept is interesting and unique. The song works well and is sure to broaden their fan base.
Tiffany Blews features Lil Wayne. The song works well as somehow, Lil Wayne is able to fit in almost perfectly with the rock heavy track delivered by Fall Out Boy.
West Coast Smoker features the legendary Debbie Harry. The song is heavier than most of the album and Patrick Stump delivers an especially strong vocal performance.
20 Dollar Nose Bleed features Brandon Urie from Panic! At The Disco. The track is well written and performed both musically and vocally. Brandon Urie’s vocal delivery helps out a great deal on the song.
w.a.m.s. features Pharrell Williams. The song is similar to recent N.E.R.D. material except with a heavier rock edge delivered by the members of Fall Out Boy.
27 is a catchy little slice of pop-rock heaven. The song is catchy, non-offensive and works well at drawing the listener in.
Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet is one of the more interestingly named songs in recent memory. The track features numerous changes throughout the track which work especially following the chorus.
Overall Folie à Deux is a strong album from Fall Out Boy. The members of the group seem to all be at the top of their game on the album. Overall Folie à Deux gets 8 out of 10. If you are a fan of Fall Out Boy make sure you pick up Folie à Deux when it is available in stores on December 16.
