Stocking stuffers are a fun and easy Christmas family tradition. As a former college student, I can say that stocking stuffers are definitely very much appreciated (and needed) by college students. If your family participates in sharing stocking gifts, and you are looking for fantastic stocking stuffers for college students, here are some excellent ideas.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #1: Mini Coffee Flavored Syrup
If the student drinks coffee or tea, this is a very thoughtful stocking stuffer. You can purchase mini coffee flavored syrup at stores such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart and others. I recommend the brand torani. You can also purchase it online at various online coffee shops. Visit www.torani.com/wheretofind/online_retailers for a list. There are many fun flavors you can choose from such as French vanilla, cheesecake, peppermint, chocolate mint and more.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #2: A Bottle of Tylenol or Vitamins
If she or he is living in a dorm, has the stress of college life, or just is human then a bottle of tylenol is a terrific stocking stuffer. Another superb idea is a bottle of vitamins. If she or he is living on pizza and ramen noodles, it’s a very thoughtful gift.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #3: Stress Ball
If you can find a cute stress ball (check on office supply store), this makes for a terrific stocking stuffer for college students.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #4: Mini Hand Sanitizer
Hand Sanitizer makes for the perfect gift for anyone. It is especially perfect is the student is doing her student teaching, or works around kids. But even if he/she is not, it’s a great gift.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #5: Roll of Quarters
If the student washes her clothes at a laundromat, this is an A+ stocking stuffer. It’s somewhat creative, but very practical.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #6: Cute Socks
Okay, this one is reserved for ladies. Adorable socks make the perfect stocking stuffer. You can find them at Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Gap and other stores. You can purchase them with just about any design – butterflies, frogs, hearts, you name it.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #7: Creative Magnets
If he or she has a refrigerator, or anything that holds magnets, this is a wonderful stocking stuffer. You can buy magnets at kitchen supply stores, Wal-Mart, and other places.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #8: Gift Card
A 5 to 10 dollar (or even more) gift card is also a welcome gift for college students. I recommend Starbucks, gas card, sonic or any fast food place.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #9: Highlighters / Pencils / School Supplies
Hey, it’s very useful and definitely very much needed for college students. This, of course, can be purchased at Wal-Mart. Adorable erasers are a nice idea as well.
Stocking Stuffer Idea #10: Nail Polish
This is another one that’s best for girls (obviously) but nail polish is a practical and useful stocking stuffer for college students.
Don’t forget candy, gum, batteries, and lotion make great stocking stuffers as well! Merry Christmas and Enjoy the Holidays!
