I am a big nut for do it yourself craft projects, and when Christmas time comes it’s when I love to shine my obsession even more because there are so many different Holiday projects to do. I have searched over the Internet for years to find the best websites that offer free craft project ideas and I would love to share my findings with you.
This website has close to 90 different projects for you to try out. With that many different projects you will surely be busy for hours during this holiday season. Some of my favorite crafts on this site are Holiday Jar Lids, Sugar Snowballs, and Wood Mittens. Most of their craft projects are aimed toward the adult in the house, however, they do have a whole column that is devoted to the children! There are two things about this site that make me come back to it year after year. One, most of their craft ideas have pictures that accompany the directions. I enjoy that because I am more a picture person then having to read word by word on how to do something. Second, they give you the person who had given this idea to them and their email address just in case you have any questions about the directions at all. Convince is great because we all come across questions when we are doing something! This site is a must check out!
When you click on this website look for their column on the left hand side of the page for OUR FREE CRAFT PROJECT CATEGORIES. There you will find their link for their Christmas crafts. Once you have loaded the Christmas craft page I am sure you will feel the same way I do. Wow, how many ideas do they have. I haven’t exactly counted, however there must be over 100 maybe even 200 ideas. They seem to be endless. The best thing I like about their list is the fact it is in alphabetical order. Makes it so much more easier for me to find a certain craft idea that I may want to do.
This website offers so many different project ideas from decorating Christmas cards, making wreaths out of fruit to tree ornaments. On top of that they update their list pretty often. They have over 20 new project ideas that I haven’t even been able to dip into yet because I am sit looking at all the fun old ones. They also give you pictures to go with the projects but they don’t provide a way for you to contact the person who created this idea in case you need to ask a question, and that would have to be the only thing I don’t like, but with as many projects as they have and the uniqueness that comes with them, I think I can over look the one bad thing!
I had to give you the full link to this website because it was quite hard for you to find unless you know about it. There is a lot of clicking that goes on. I first will warn you that once you are one this page I suggested then you will have two columns of projects for you to go through. When you decide on the project idea you will click on the link that will take you to another page that will give you sub-ideas on that certain topic you just wanted. For example you wanted to make a reindeer craft project. You will click on the first page and then it will take you to a page that has about five to ten different projects for reindeer’s. It can get kind of frustrating with all the clicking and time consuming because most of us want to click on something and have it right there when we click this website does not allow that. However, there is a couple reasons why I am recommending this website. First off this website prides itself on having the whole family involved. I think that is really important because a craft project is not fun unless you can get the whole family involved. A great way to share time during the rush of the holiday season. The other thing that makes me like this site is it offers a great deal of craft project like ornaments and Christmas cards, just like the rest of the sites, but there are Nativity Craft projects. I haven’t seen this around alot on the other sites. I like the fact of the religious side they offer because it really taps into what Christmas is all about. So, if you don’t mind clicking away then you may want to check this site out for those two reasons.
This last website is my all time favorite site. First off the site is extremely easy to navigate. Click-able pictures to take you to the Christmas craft project page makes anyone searching for craft ideas feel like they don’t have to get a headache while looking around. On top of that when you get to their page for all their Christmas craft project page their are pictures right beside the title of the project. This is makes it really nice for you to see what the project is all about before you open the project page.
Now they do not have alot of crafts, but the ones they do offer are pretty neat and kid friendly. Craft projects your kids can give away this year as presents. A couple favorites of mine are the Gumdrop Christmas Tree and Reindeer Lollipop. Though not everyone’s taste is the same because everyone has different minds, this website understands that. They offer you a great list of books at the bottom of each page. The books are all Christmas craft related and once you have clicked on the book you may like you can easily purchase it through www.amazon.com.
I surely hope I have given you enough sites to draw ideas from and hope that all your Christmas craft projects come out amazing! Merry Christmas and Happy Crafting!
