Johnson and Johnson have been around forever, and I used all their baby products for my daughter. That was 38 years ago. On and off over the years I have continued to purchase their products. Why? Because they are gentle, they work, and they are quality products.
The other day I was checking a box of beauty products, I have several around the house, and there was a small bottle of Johnson’s Baby Shampoo, unopened. I remember that every time Len or I go into hospital, we come out with Johnson’s baby powder, Johnson’s baby lotion and Johnson’s Baby Shampoo.
I had one of those days, when I just wanted to relax, and literally ‘baby’ myself, so I figured what would be nicer, than to use Johnson’s Baby shampoo. I love the golden color of the shampoo, and that unmistakable smell. I got into the shower, and warmed my body with the water flowing over me. My hair was wet, so I applied the shampoo to the palms of my hands, and then gently rubbed it into my hair.
I knew that Johnson’s Baby Shampoo was so gentle to the eyes, as they state on the bottle, that it is like pure water. The shampoo lathered up really well so I didn’t need to re-apply. I left it on my hair while I took my shower. My hair and head felt a little cool after awhile, so I got hot water and added to the lather. The lather didn’t go away. Finally I rinsed my hair. My hair had a nice squeak to it, so I knew it was clean. As I have highlighted hair, I decided to use my
Pantene Pro-V Silver Expressions daily color enhancing conditioner, to take out any brassiness, that builds up in my hair. Soap free, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist tested 866-565-2229.
Then I continued with putting mousse into my hair, blow drying it, curling it, and then back combing it. My hair felt really soft. I was able to get some height in my hair, but not a lot of volume. However, this shampoo is for babies, and I knew that it would produce a softer, silkier, kind of hair for me. It did exactly that.
What I really loved about using John’s Baby Shampoo was, that I could rinse the shampoo away and not worry about any mascara being left on my eyes, and I knew it wouldn’t sting. Many shampoos really irritate my eyes when I am rinsing.
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo is:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, PEG-150 Distearate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-10, Tetrasodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Citric Acid, Yellow 10 and Orange 4. May also contain: Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide.
This is a great product and so gentle. I love the thought that hospitals still give it away. I have the 1.5 fluid ounce (144 ml) size and it is perfect for traveling. This is a product that I am happy to keep in my bathroom. I would have no problem in purchasing the 20 fluid ounce size for just under $3.
I am no baby, but on occasions I love to ‘baby’ myself and Johnson and Johnson certainly know how.
