Don’t have time to go out and celebrate? That’s okay, have a celebration, homestyle. You can get the whole family involved in a great night of fun and food.
Create a great buffet for the whole family to enjoy and have a blast with the kids.
To start off you must have a great drink for your special evening. Why not start off with a quick and simple punch.
You need: Grape juice, lemonade, pineapple juice. You can use either frozen or canned.
Take the juices and pour them together, throw in some ice and some fresh lemon slices you are set to go.
Either serve it in a punch bowl or enjoy it out of one of your favorite pitchers. Add a slice of lemon to everyone’s glass and pour away.
For mom and dad, you can add a shot of vodka in each of your glasses. Just make sure the kids don’t get a hold of them.
This recipe you will want to prepare the night before for optimum flavor.
You need: A bag of chicken tenders, water, powdered creole seasoning.
A large zipper bag and wooden skewers.
To prepare: In the large zipper bag, place the chicken tenders add in enough water to cover the tenders then toss in some of the creole seasoning, close the bag and mix around, if it looks like you might need some more spice to cover the tenders, add in some more. Once done place in the fridge overnight.
The night of your celebration, take the tenders and place onto the skewers. Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Either wipe your cookie sheet with a little bit of cooking oil or use some cooking spray. Then place your skewers on to the tray, bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. The creole spice will be wafting through the air and making everyone’s mouth water.
Man can’t survive on meat alone. So how about some veggies, a simple veggie tray works great, place out some baby carrots, celery sticks, grape size tomatoes and spicy radishes. Make a quick dip.
