This site encourages kids to save energy. There are a variety of things on this link, they are not done on the site itself, but are all in adobe format and can be printed. The first item is a ‘Horton’s Recipe’ the recipe is for candied yams. The second item is an activity brochure, it is titled “Be an energy star” and then it says “Join Horton and the mayor fight against global warming”. The brochure has a lot of different activities such as word search, mazes , connect the numbers, learning how to draw Horton, cross-word puzzles, and jokes. The third item is a “Horton tip sheet” it has tips for how to save energy. The fourth item is ‘Horton’s coloring pages’ just has one picture of Horton for the child to color. Then there is ‘Horton’s Costume’ it gives you instructions on how to make a Horton costume. Lastly, there is ‘Horton’s Pumpkin’ this is a pattern for Horton that could be carved onto a pumpkin.
