You’re a hero, saving a cat from a tree. Or perhaps you’re a villian, out to mug an innocent bystander.
Chances are, hero or villain, you are doing it from the comfort of your easy chair, thanks to one of the funnest new apps on MySpace, Heroes vs. Villains!
Apparently Zynga has created yet another winner, which leads us to the question: How do we build our league without driving our buddies nuts?
There are several ways to do this. One way is to visit the friend’s list of a buddy who happens to be playing your favorite app, and find out which ones are app buddies. Some people keep these in a folder separate from their other friends. Send a request to each of those friends, asking to be added for the app Heroes vs. Villains. Most app players will add you without question with this little note.
Another way is to join the groups that help you to increase your league, but personally I have had limited success with these.
A third way is through your fight page. Click on the name of a hero or villain that seems interesting. That click will take you to their stat page. Then click on their name again. This will take you to their MySpace page. Send them a friend request with a brief note that you want to join their league on Heroes vs. Villians. Depending upon their security settings, you may have to fill out a captcha to complete this.
Once they have accepted your friend request, look through the bulletins they have posted for their “Join my League” bulletin, and click on the link inside. This will take you to your league page, and allow you to accept their request.
If you are unable to locate one of their bulletins, go to your League page and select “Post Bulletin.” Give time for your new friends to click on the link. If they do not join your league, then send them a message from the League page of the Heroes vs. Villains app, with a brief message to please join.
If you know a friend who is new to the game and does not have many friends, post a bulletin with their MySpace page address inside, adding a note that they are looking for friends for the Heroes vs. Villains app. These bulletins do get read by fellow players, and your friend will appreciate the new league members while they are still learning the game.
Using these methods, you can build your league as large or as small as you desire. Whatever size of league you prefer, never forget that the true goal of these apps is to simply have fun!
With that note, I am personally taking all comers to the Heroes vs. Villains app. You can find me at www.myspace.com/annienygma.
