The days after Thanksgiving officially begin our Holiday Season. And with that, comes decorating our homes for the Christmas season. Here are some simple ways to decorate your fireplace for Christmas
What you need:
4 2 or 3 wicked Candles (Different colors or the same.)
Ivy or garland (This can be found at Michael’s)
Not only are candles beautiful, but they can become a decoration during the holiday season by placing them on either side of your fireplace mantle. Now, take the candles and place them on either side of the mantle. Now you want to add the ivy or garland around the candle. This makes the candle more decorative, and will look beautiful. Use your eye to see how much you need.
Now add one candle on either side of the fireplace. When the fireplace is not being used, the candles not only smell good but look pretty.
First, you want to find some brass stocking hangers to place on your tree. We add decorative on the side of the tree. This way, through the month, it will still look festive, and then on Christmas morning, you can add the others.
Improvements has a beautiful stocking hanger that will look not only beautiful but will create a festive atmosphere to your fireplace. Priced at $9.99, these are hard to beat in price.
What you need:
Garland (Can be found at Michael’s)
Small ornament gifts
Red berry Strings
Popcorn (have some fun with your kids)
Hot Glue gun
Christmas garland adds warmth and creates Christmas cheer as you hang garland on your fireplace mantle.
First you want to lay out your garland on the floor. Be ready to have some fun. Now take your hot glue gun, and add a little too each small ornament gift and press into the garland. After you have done all your ornaments, use your fingers to make the garland look pretty. Now add your red berry string, or any long strand of Christmas decoration you have (Popcorn is a great choice.)
Now carefully pick up garland and place on your mantle. You may need to take three of four places of the back of the garland to the mantle. This is to make sure it stays secure.
To add extra Christmas warmth, add in some Christmas lights to the garland. You can buy the lights that are battery operated. You may want to wait until you have the garland secure against the mantle then add in the lights as a final effect.
