Lindsay Lohan is as known for her sense of style as her multiple trips to rehab. Here’s how to look like her without spending as much as one of those stays at the Cirque Lodge!
One of Lindsay Lohan’s staples (as of recent) has been the trendy grandpa cardigan. Long, but slightly fitted, the grandpa cardigan gives off an effortlessly chic vibe and can be dressed down or up. Lindsay wears hers dressed down, usually over leggings, but you can also wear the long cardigan with jeans or belted with a dress. Here’s a basic grey one by Alloy for $32.50. Or, buy a men’s cardigan at any department store in a size XS or S and roll the sleeves for a Lindsay Lohan-inspired look. You can also find plenty of options at Goodwill, just be sure to try the piece on and look for any obvious damages.
Celebrities are really loving vintage and vintage-inspired tees right now, and Lindsay Lohan is no exception. There are so many stores that have these types of t-shirts, but here are just a few options. Palmer Cash has a wide variety of tees sorted by category. Check out their vintage-inspired “music” t-shirts for tons of buys under $25. Loops and Pluto also has vintage-inspired tees mixed in with their funny, ironic message tees. Most of their tops are also under $30.
Lindsay Lohan has recently sported leggings almost every day, mostly from her new all leggings line, 6126, which was named after Marilyn Monroe’s birthday. Lindsay wears all different kinds of leggings from basic black to textured and colored. I suggest wearing a subtle pair, either in basic black or a dark color with no added texture. This look is much more wearable but still gives off the “La Lohan” vibe. Hue is a popular hosiery brand, and here are some cute, cheap leggings at Express that are often buy one, get one half-off.
Often spotted by the paparazzi out and about, Lindsay is almost always wearing boots with her leggings. Sometimes she wears riding boots, but mostly Lohan sports the slouchy style. You can find slouchy boots in an array of colors and prices; I’ve found classic black ones at Payless that I liked just as much as my others from Urban Outfitters, and they cost less than half the price! To find the best bargain, go to ShopStyle and browse their shoes section. You can often find this style of boot for less than $30, and I’ve even found some for around $20. If you live in an area with tempermental weather (i.e. lots of rain and/or snow), the cheaper the boots the better. Plus, when you score a pair for, say, the low price of $24.99, you can afford a couple in funkier colors.
Finish this look off with two armfuls of bangles and string bracelets and some seriously smudged black eyeliner.
