Emailing Digital Photos is probably a lot easier than you may think. The only thing about emailing digital photos is if you or the person receiving them have dial up, it will either crash the computer or it will take a while to open. This is only the case if you are using Outlook Express to send or receive the digital photos. If you and the person you are emailing the digital photos to has a faster connection, this will not be a problem for you. Web Based email will send them right away. So, if you are on dial up or the person you’re emailing is on dial up, I would recommend using a web based email. In this tutorial, I will show you how to email digital photos using Outlook Express and Web Based Email.
You will first need to transfer your Digital Photos from your camera to your computer. Do this how you normally would. It is best to put them all in a folder. Once you have your photos transferred and saved to your computer, you are ready to Email your Digital Photos.
Email Digital Photos in Outlook Express
We will start off with the Outlook Express email. If you do not use Outlook Express, please skip down to the next section for the web based email. Create a new email like you normally would. Fill in the To field, subject, and your message. There are two ways to email the digital photos in Outlook. You can either insert the picture into the email or attach the photo to the email. Either way will work.
Let’s insert the picture into the email first. Click your mouse in the message part of your email. Go to the top of the email and click Insert > Picture. When the box opens, click the Browse button and locate your digital photo. Double click the photo to insert it. If you want to add more, repeat this step.
Now, we’ll attach the digital photo to the email. Go to the top of your email window and click Insert > File Attachment. A box will open and you will need to locate the digital photo you want to attach. Double click the digital photo you want to attach. You will notice the attachment in the top of the window. To attach another photo, repeat the above steps. Now you can send your email.
Email Digital Photos with Web Based Email
Login to your email account that you use. Create a new email like you normally would. Somewhere in your new email window you should see something that says Attach or Add Attachment. Look for that link and click it. Then you will need to search for the photo you want to attach and open it. You will notice the attachment in your email. You can attach more photos if you want too. Then send your email as you normally would.
