Sometime in 1979 a mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle or grandparent has lost their child. Police discover a once beautiful young woman in a cornfield of the south side of Route 20 in Caledonia, New York. Someone’s daughter, sister, aunt or granddaughter has been found, yet not one person has has come forward to say she is missing or even identify her. Can you imagine?
Who is she? All that is known about the girl is that she is a white female between the ages of 13-19 years-old. She is estimated to have been around 5’3″ and 120lbs possibly less. She has brown short hair that was frosted approximately four months before her untimely death. She also had brown eyes and some dentist work done at one time in her short life. She also had very visible tanning lines which means she did sunbath often.
When this young woman was found she was wearing a mutli colored plaid shirt, tan corduroy pants, blue knee socks, light blue underwear, white bra, ripple sole shoes, and a nylon man’s windbreaker with black stripes down the arms. The brand of the jacket “Auto Sports Products, Inc.” had not been a brand that was circulated in the United States in 1979. There was also a necklace that had been worn made out of silver beads. The necklace had three turquoise stones, with one of the stones resembling a bird. A locket was also on the necklace with of an inscription that reads: He who holds the key can open my heart.
According to the coroner, the young girl had been killed the night before she had been found. Cause of death was due to one gunshot wound to her back and the other to her head. Police are assuming that the young girl had been trying to get away from her kidnapper when he open fired. The gun used in the murder has been proven to be a .38 caliber revolver. Unfortunately the murder weapon has never been recovered, nor has the identity of this once beautiful young girl.
Someone, somewhere has to remember who this young woman was. Whether it be here in the United States or out of the country. Someone has lost one of their loved ones and she has never been found. Please take the time and circulate this as much as possible. Maybe someone can remember a family whose daughter went missing. Or maybe you remember someone just disappearing out of the blue and nothing was ever heard about it again. No matter what, this young girl has family or friends that remember her. Do you?
