Niecy Nash – Her Beginnings
Life shapes us. It either makes us strong or it beats us down. Growing up wasn’t easy for Carol Denise Ensley who was born on February 23, 1970 in Palmdale, California. Before long, Niecy Nash was performing for the neighbors.
Niecy Nash recalls in an interview later- “…I was standing on the fireplace with my mother’s karaoke microphone telling jokes, it dawned on me that comedy was a gift, and I said to myself, ‘Niecy, don’t be selfish, heifer. Go outside and spread this around because there are some other people that might need it, too.'” (www.comedycentric.com)
