While recently staying at the Ivy Bed & Breakfast, my conversations with current owner Jerry Roth clued me in to the realization that he was looking to get out of the Bed & Breakfast Business! This would surely be a travesty if left to idle hands as the service, warmth, and graciousness of the Roth’s was unparalleled. By no fault of his beautiful home or the utility of his business, Mr. & Mrs. Roth both conveyed to me and my wife that they just want to get back to their home state and be closer to their children and grandchildren.
If you are looking to get into the Bed & Breakfast business, there are seldom more rare opportunities than right now at the Ivy Bed & Breakfast. For folks who would like to see some pictures of the property, they can click onto The Ivy’s website. If you would be interested to read this scribes opinion on the Bed & Breakfasts merits as a Bed & Breakfast destination, you can read my review of The Ivy here.
It’s really too bad that they are leave too because the Roth’s are both such excellent people. Their warm and winning personalities both really help make this place come alive as both a home; their impressive knowledge of the area and of the home act as a vibrant marker in history for neighbors and far away strangers alike to enjoy.
For more concrete information about the Ivy Bed & Breakfast, feel free to learn as much as you’re able at The Ivy’s website. The Ivy is now on the market for sale and is receiving bids. For all that I know the place has already been put under contract, but when I spoke to Mr. Roth, I told him that I would alert the online community here at Associated Content. I figured that to let my friends in the online world know about the sale of this bed & breakfast would be the very least that I could do for him after he and his wife’s warm and generous hospitality towards myself and my wife.
Whoever does end up taking on The Ivy Bed & Breakfast for their own should consider it a great opportunity and an even greater responsibility. There are fewer and fewer traditional bed & breakfasts in America today in lieu of sleeker designed, European modeled hostile style accommodations and the cookie cutter hotels and motels which dot the nation. For the traditional traveler seeking good rest, decent company, knowledge of a rural area, and a hearty breakfast as they go, The Ivy Bed & Breakfast in Warrenton, North Carolina is in a league all its own.
