A friend of mine is a consultant/distributor for a company called Jordan Essentials. I love all natural products, so I have been giving a few of theirs a try. I’ve come up with some that I love, and some that I probably won’t order again. This review will focus on the Jordan Essentials Shower Gel, in the Lavender & Eucalyptus scent.
Jordan Essentials shower gels come in two different sizes. They offer the smaller 9 ounce bottle, which retails for $11.00, and a larger 17 ounce bottle that retails for $17.00.
The company describes this shower gel as a rich, concentrated, Aloe Vera recipe is DEA free. The bottle is clear, so you can see what the shower gel looks like, but it is also clear. No dyes in this one, it looks like a bottle of water.
Aqua (water), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylparaben, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera Gel), Fragrance Oil.
Lavender is one of my all time favorite scents, and I like the way eucalyptus wakes me up in the mornings. With that in mind, I really thought that the lavender & eucalyptus scent sounded pretty attractive. Unfortunately, I am not over thrilled with this particular scent, but I have smelled worse!
It’s extremely hard to describe what this smells like. I don’t feel it smells very much like lavender, so I guess there is more of a eucalyptus scent to this one. I guess it’s sort of a blending of the two scents, but it’s a bit of an odd combination to me.
Jordan Essentials calls this a rich and concentrated gel, but I don’t find it particularly thick. To me, it seems like the consistency of most other shower gels that I have used. When I pour it into my hands (for the sake of this review), it has a very silky smooth feel, but it’s almost a slimy feel, but again hard to describe. I prefer to use all of my shower gels with my scrunchie, so I don’t normally pour it into my hands.
This does lather up extremely well, and leaves only a slight scent on my body after I have washed and towel dried. I can’t say it’s any more moisturizing than other shower gels I have used, but it does clean well. In the winter I generally apply lotions to my legs and arms after a bath or shower, so while this has an invigorating scent in the shower, it doesn’t interfere with other scented lotions or perfumes. I am interested in checking out some of the other scents, because there are many to choose from!
Black Raspberry Vanilla, Vanilla Cream, Grapefruit & Lime, Lavender & Eucalyptus, Naturally unscented, Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Pearberry, Sugar Sweet Pea, Sweet Cucumber Melon, Vine Ripened Honeysuckle, Hip Hop Peach Mango, Sea-Spa, Coastal Blue.
