This is a product I purchased about a month ago, Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation. C.V.S. had another of their amazing offers on. The retail price was $9.99 with $1 off. I then paid the $8.99, for the Maybelline product and received an $8.99 coupon on my receipt, for a future purchase. I just can’t beat these free products. I have to say that the last 2 weeks, everyone else has got there first, because the shelves have been empty on all the advertised offers.
The bottle of Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation comes in a vacuumed sealed sleeve. There was no way I could get it off with my nails or even trying to tear it off. I used one of my husband’s box cutters to remove it. I am sure it was sealed to prevent anyone opening it and trying it in the store. This was the only packaging on it.
It has a black screw top, and a black oval on the front of the bottle. In comes in a one fluid ounce (30ml) bottle.
Upon unscrewing the lid, the top of the bottle has a half inch in length applicator top that narrows down to fit the shape of the cap. It has a hole on the top of it. I turned the bottle upside down and held it over the back of my hand. It formed a little of the liquid on the tip, so I tapped it onto my hand. I did this a few times and I got a tiny about of foundation out. Next I gave the bottle a tiny squeeze and it form a very small ball, at the tip of the applicator top. I then tapped this onto the back of my hand and I had several a quarter of an inch circles on my hand. I have white spots on my hands, an age thing, so I smoothed the foundation over my hand, and they almost disappeared.
Now to my face.
I squeezed the bottle slightly and dotted my face, forehead, and neck area. I then used my fingers to smooth and blend the foundation over my face. I am lucky to say I never get spots or blackheads, but I do have changes in the color of my skin, due to my age. Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation blended so easily into my face and neck area. It is really light, non-greasy, and doesn’t look like you have any foundation on. I was totally blown away when I looked at my skin. The color was the same, I had chosen ‘medium beige’, which is a great color for my tanned skin. It didn’t look as if I was wearing any face makeup, but the brown spots were barely noticeable.
The next test was to put my evening top over my head and see whether I lost any of my foundation, or worse still, got it on my clothing. Again Maybelline came up trumps. My face looked radiant and my clothes had no marks on them.
I had put my makeup on around 3.30 p.m. and got back home just after 9.00 p.m. I checked my foundation and my face still looked good. The only thing I did notice, and that was close up to the mirror, was that my nose was a slightly different color. I am always sneezing or blowing my nose, so I figured out that this was the cause of it.
At bedtime I had no problem removing my makeup with Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. It came off really easily.
This is what Maybelline have to say about their product:
“Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation with micro-minerals is a lightweight, luxurious liquid formula that provides a luminous, natural coverage.
Discover the power of micro-minerals:
Only our formula combines micro-minerals with a liquid in a lightweight texture for a healthier, more natural finish
Naturally breathable, seamlessly blendable
Provides buildable, even coverage
SPF 18 sunscreen
I have to agree with Maybelline. I really do love their Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation. It does look like a seamless blend on my face, and has even coverage. I also like that is contains SPF 18 sunscreen, although I don’t often wear face makeup during the day. Here in Florida, I just tend to wear a sunscreen, to protect my face.
