Nadya Suleman’s mother, Angela, is partly at fault for her daughter’s baby making madness that resulted in octuplets. Though Nadya Suleman is 33, and you may think that’s old enough to take 100 percent of the blame for the octuplets fiasco, keep in mind that the octuplets’ grandmother, Angela Suleman, has been allowing her 33-year-old daughter to live with her in a 3-bedroom house, and has been taking care of Nadya’s six children — long before Nadya became pregnant with octuplets.
Octuplets Mess: Angela Suleman, the octuplets’ grandmother, actually was quoted as stating in a videotaped interview with celebrity news web site RadarOnline.com, “She already has six beautiful children; why would she do this?” I’ll tell you why: BECAUSE SHE ALWAYS KNEW YOU’D TAKE CARE OF ANY MORE CHILDREN! Hellooo? Sorry to sound so harsh here, but Angela Suleman has been enabling Nadya for years, rather then creating an environment that would force Nadya to make more responsible choices in life. Quite simply, the octuplets’ grandmother (and grandfather) are pushovers.
Octuplets Madness: Allegedly, the octuplets’ grandmother, Angela Suleman, has stated that she will not be there to take care of the octuplets. Well, we’ll see about that. Until there is a law against having more than 14 children, who’s to say that Nadya Suleman won’t have more kids? She WILL find a doctor to insert more embryos.
Octuplets Circus: The interview has Angela Suleman stating, “…there’s children’s clothing piled all over the house.” Nadya has been at the hospital for a few months, so whose to blame for the mess? The octuplets’ grandmother, of course. Taking care of six kids under age 8 is no excuse for allowing the place to become “disheveled,” as the report says. The web site posted photos from inside the Suleman house, showing “heaps” of clothes cascading from a closet; a bedsheet as a curtain.
While one might argue, give the octuplets grandmom a break; she’s under a lot of stress; another point must be made: Who put her under all that stress in the first place? Nadya Suleman, of course. How dare Nadya Suleman claim she’s a great mother, when she knowingly subjects her other six kids to a 3-bedroom home that she knows cannot be maintained by an overworked, 70-year-old grandmother?
Had Angela Suleman put her foot down years ago, none of this would have ever happened. No child deserves to grow up in a disheveled, pigsty of a home. I’m sorry, but if Angela Suleman can’t do better, regarding enabling her daughter instead of forcing her to take responsibility, and keeping the house halfway clean (yes, it IS possible for caretakers of a bunch of young kids to at least prevent the place from appearing “disheveled” — check out the nasty photos), then it is up to the octuplets’ grandmother to NOW put her foot down and give Nadya ultimatums.
Do we really believe that the octuplets’ grandmother is fit to raise these six kids, let alone more babies? I can’t believe that Nadya Suleman is any fitter, either. Younger and stronger, yes, but from an emotional standpoint? Nadya Suleman is a nut job.
Nothing wrong with wanting lots of kids: a married, financially stable couple, that is. But under the circumstances that Nadya Suleman had her octuplets and other six kids? That’s madness. In no way can this be compared to the farm families of yesteryear who had eight, nine and even a dozen kids…spaced out over years, conceived naturally from marital relations.
