PlaneShift has 12 playable characters, all with unique features. It is a RPG game with hundreds of people (more joining daily) playing the demo version of the game, giving their feedback, and taking advantage of a great game with all the features of the high end games (re: World of Warcraft) without the premium price tag. Like World of Warcraft, there are professions to learn and spells to be crafted, along with monsters, quests and a vast world to explore.
Currently the game supports Windows, Linux, and Mac on some platforms. The game is on a 3D graphic and sound, so you the player is able to be fully immersed in the play of the game. Unlike World of Warcraft, the player is able to create their own homes and castles in the game. This is seen as a huge plus and a major draw to the RPGers in the field. Like the new Sims games, the characters have life cycles, and will have parents and jobs, and normal life events.
The game is still being developed so not all of the features and functions may be able to be played at any given time, but the final product is bound to please with the work and the dedication behind it. See if you are going to be a fan of this new free MMORPG game, PlaneShift. Downloads can be seen on their site: http://www.planeshift.it/download.html
