Just the other day our newly minted 44th President held a conference with his economic team. The conference was about the current economic insanity, how bad will it get, what to do to mitigate the suffering and damage, and how to end it and return our nation to economic prosperity. And of all the things discussed, issues and tactics decided upon and announcements made to the public, there was one striking thing that I have not seen anyone discussing.
President Obama has announced that there will be no new taxes right now, no new and crazy Socialist policy being implemented at present and that he will have to postpone any threatened tax increases on those rich peeps we keep hearing so damned much about. He will not repeal the Bush tax cuts. The thoughtful, intelligent and curious soul needs ask why?
Well, I’ll tell ya why. Roughly, and with no attempt whatsoever to quote the President, he stated that in this current economy we need to focus on growing revenues, creating jobs, etc., and to put in new taxes, repeal the Bush tax cuts or take on any additional spending programs would be harmful to the economy. Say what?
So in spite of the words & wishes of our naysayers, the Lefties who know better than all the rest of us, and our new President who is one of them Lefties, there will be no Liberal manna from Heaven! Our new President has come out and vindicated Trickle Down Economics! He did so in a very public and much observed forum. Hip, hip, hooray!
Our new President told us all that in order to grow the economy and recover from this current mess we need to let the rich folks keep their money so that it will trickle throughout the economy. Now those were not his exact words, but I was listening and that was the gist of his message. And what, Lefties? And What?
Will you defame and call your leader a liar? Will you accuse him of misleading you to get elected? Will you feel sold out? What will you brain trusts do now?
I mean, c’mon big thinkers. How you gonna act? This man just stood in front of the whole wide world and in effect pronounced for the world that Reagan was right – to grow an economy ya gotta cut spending and most definitely NOT RAISE TAXES ON ANYONE, but especially the cats with all the money. That’s Trickle Down Economics right there kiddies. See? Even your main man knows the truth and reality from the political speak that he and all politicians use to get elected!
Golly, how many trees have been felled; how many trillions of severely disturbed electrons to store on the server all the words wasted by the naysayers in their attacks on Trickle Down, their defense of the insanity of raising taxes to spur growth and increase revenue? That’s what the naysayers have been screaming for years, right?
Another CP and I have a running argument on this topic – he claims Reagan was the Devil and Trickle Down was Reagan’s silly little colloquial idea of economy. He claims Trickle Down is one of the factors in causing the current economic meltdown. He’s been wrong every single time he has opined such, and his wrongness has been confirmed by his very own newly minted “chosen one!”
President Obama has just confirmed that to grow an economy ya gotta keep taxes low, keep the people who have money with the money so they can invest it which then allows it to “trickle” through the system, and to not go on any government spending sprees while one is trying to grow an economy.
And as conditions have forced President Obama into the tacit admission as to the validity of Trickle Down, there will be more to come. It won’t be long before Congress or the President will be forced to put truth to the lie that the current economy and mortgage meltdown are the fault of Republicans.
There is a voluminous amount of print and video that show clearly it was Congressional Democrats that forced the mortgage meltdown on this country. The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) was the impetus that drove all this in the beginning. The CRA and the continued support for it by Congressional Democrats caused this mess. That and they pressured banks into lending money to non-credit worthy individuals. They made Freddie and Fannie guarantee those bad loans. As well, eventually the fact will be exposed that Bush proposed legislation to rein in Fannie & Freddie in ’04, but Congressional Democrats blocked it.
And it was Congressional Democrats who continually argued for everyone to keep their hands off Fannie & Freddie, and that lending money for home loans to the non-credit worthy was a good way to go. They even complained that any such talk about Freddie and Fannie and predatory lending were harming the works and endangering the solvency of Fannie & Freddie. The Congressional Dems were as wrong about the mortgage meltdown as the naysayers are about Trickle Down. It’s only a matter of time before the truth behind the mortgage mess is laid bare. And then as well the naysayers will be proven wrong for all to see – AGAIN!!!
You’d think you super smart peeps would shut the Hell up for once and wait to learn the facts, but no. Instead they opine from on high about the sophistry of Reagan and Trickle Down. They continue to scream that the economic crisis is the fault of Republicans when clearly all the factual evidence shows that to be a lie. Just like our new President, your man, has publicly announced that when it comes to Trickle Down and you naysayers public pronouncements, you were wrong then too! Will he have to come out and make a tacit admission of blame and lay said blame at the feet of Congressional Democrats?
Gee, I sure do hope none of the naysayers are so distraught by the truth of the economy and politics that they do away with themselves – that would be a shame, huh? So by all means argue with me when I discuss Trickle Down. Forget that President Obama just told the world Reagan was right and that Trickle Down IS how to grow an economy. And keep your ears tuned for the coming admission that but for Congressional Democrats there would be no housing mess now. Must really suck to have one of your innermost beliefs exposed for the world to ridicule, and by your leader no less!
How does that song go . . . ? “Wishin’ and hopin’ and prayin’ . . . ” I am too funny – I just slay me.
