During the holidays I cannot get enough of the evergreen scent. From the tree in the living room, the all of the gorgeous limited edition scents released in stores in products ranging from candles, body lotion, perfume, soap and anything else one could think up.
I came across Febreze Evergreen and Snow Candle at my local Target for I believe $4.99. The candle came boxed up in a festive green display box, with a small slit at the top for me to get a hint of the candles fragrance.
and…’have a holly jolly Christmas… it’s the best time of the year…’
The candle smelled fantastic. A mixture of fresh falling snow, with evergreen trees whistling in the wind, giving off a breezy combination of snow and evergreen. I don’t know how they did it, but they did it, and it was naturally beautiful!
If you have a good imagination, close your eyes and take a sniff. Can you see the snow falling, or the forest of evergreens in the distance? This candle can take you there, with a vivid imagination, and a moment to imagine it.
I grabbed not one, but two of the candles seeing that Febreze Evergreen and Snow Candle is limited edition, and once it is gone, it is pretty much gone for good.
Once home I lit both candles on the kitchen table and waited for the evergreen and snow scent to fill the room. I was hoping the scent would disperse in a half hour before everyone got home from work so I could get satisfaction out of hearing all the ‘mmm’s, and ahhh’s’.
The candle itself is a dark green color, with a small dab of white at the top. I imagine it was supposed to resemble an evergreen covered with snow, but it sort of looks more like a candle with a dab of whipped cream on top.
No less than 5 minutes into burning the candles the white topping was completely melted and no longer visible.
Anyhow as time went on and on, the candle melted, and melted some more. Then it hit me… wait, what was it? Not a scent not a stir?
I allowed the Febreze Evergreen and Snow Candle to melt all through the night hoping for a small hint of evergreen and snow, the scent tha candle gave off before I lit it, yet it never made its presence.
Overall the Febreze Evergreen and Snow Candle, was a major disappointment. I was hoping the candle would burn and let off the fabulous realistic scent the wax gave off, but unfortunately it never gave off a thing. Maybe some heat if you get close to it, but I wasn’t looking for a heating device, I was looking for the wintry scent of evergreen and snow, and I got nothing.
I recommend you skip out on Febreze Evergreen and Snow Candle. It’s not worth it. This is one limited edition that I hope does not come back next year.
