Thinking of dessert one evening, I decided it was time for ice cream. I really had a craving for one of those delicious waffle cones that you get at your local fair. Few desserts come close to a scrumptious ice cream and waffle cone treat. Since my fair wouldn’t be around until next summer, I decided to give Joy waffle bowls a try. How will Joy Waffle Bowls rate?
Cruising through my local Wal-Mart store, I stumbled across Joy Waffle Bowls. These edible bowls came in a package of ten for a cost of about $1.50. Compared to the cost of plain cake cones, they seemed a bit more expensive, but if they have that classic waffle cone taste, they would be worth every penny.
The Joy Waffle Bowls hold a nice amount of ice cream, but if you are settling down for a large dessert, they won’t be big enough. The Joy Waffle Bowls are perfect for me, because they are just the right size for a delicious and satisfying ice cream dessert without the risk of overindulging like you would with a large cereal bowl.
The Joy Waffle Bowls seemed quite healthy for a dessert item when I looked at the nutrition information on the package. Each edible bowl contains only 80 calories. Only five of those calories come from fat. The Joy Waffle Bowls have zero saturated fat or cholesterol per serving. They contain only 18 grams of carbohydrates. Coupled with some healthy ice cream choices and you can have a guild-free dessert.
With the reasonable cost and the nutritional facts considered, you may be wondering if the Joy Waffle Bowls taste like you are chewing on cardboard. Upon opening the package, I had high expectations. I wanted this product to take me back to those fair-food waffle cones. The Joy Waffle Bowls really hit the spot. With the first crunch of my edible bowl, I grabbed onto that rich flavor. My taste buds truly loved every bit. I could not ask for a better flavor.
When I first bought the Joy Waffle Bowls, I didn’t think of them as convenient. I was just searching for that waffle cone taste. I quickly realized how convenient the edible bowls can be. For those nights when you want a quick dessert with little clean up afterward, Joy Waffle Bowls work out well. There is no need to wash stacks of dishes when you use edible bowls to serve your Ice cream. Also, it is easier to dip ice cream into Joy Waffle Bowls than It is to fill a cake ice cream cone. Kids love serving up dessert and these edible bowls make it easy and convenient.
I would have to give the Joy Waffle Bowls 5 stars out of five. The price, convenience, and nutritional information make the waffle bowls a great option, but the fabulous flavor is what makes these a great treat.
