Every time I’m in the US, I spend a lot of money at Target. Outside the US, I browse Target’s website, ordering things either for myself or friends. I’m also a big charity supporter, so, I was happy recently, to discover that Target sells many Gifts That Support A Cause. If you buy any of these gifts, not only do you get something cool (and usually pretty cheap), but you’re also contributing to a charity with your purchase.
Kitchen-Aid Pink 2-Slice Toaster – I absolutely love pink, so I was thrilled to see this Kitchen Aid pink 2-slice toaster for sale in Target’s ‘Gifts That Support a Cause’ section on their website. It has wide slots, different settings for the toast you want, and $7 from the purchase price of each toaster goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure initiative. The only thing you must remember is, when you buy it, you have to register the purchase on Cook for the Cure.com before the donation will be made.
Hamilton Beach Stay/Go Slow Cooker – I love slow cookers, and they’re wonderful as gifts for busy people. If you’re pressed for time, you can just throw your ingredients in the cooker before you go to work and, when you get home, voila, instantly cooked dinner. This Hamilton Beach slow cooker is a really nice one. It holds 6 quarts, it has 3 cook settings, and it’s a clean white color so nothing loud to destroy the pristine beauty of your kitchen. Part of the proceeds from this also goes to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement.
Chantal Livestrong Collection – This bright yellow ceramic collection is just gorgeous. Consisting of cups, trays, tea kettles and a serving bowl, the Chantal Livestrong Collection benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which helps people affected with cancer. The entire collection is microwave and dishwasher safe and has a “Live Strong” message carved into each piece. Really fun and funky looking, and would be a great gift for anyone who loves modern looking pieces or would be appreciative of helping a cancer prevention organization.
Save the Children Stay on Track Bedding – This fabulous blue and red train bedding is awesome for any child. It has a train/car theme, and the collection comes with a quilt and sham, sheet set, pillows, rug and drapes (all items sold separately). 2.5% of the proceeds go to Save the Children, which is not a great deal, but every little bit helps. The whole bedding set is just so darn cute though, any little boy would love this in his room.
These are just a few of the gifts that support a cause available at Target. Target also sells tote bags, gardening sets, coffee makers, gloves and so much more and all of them in the ‘Gifts That Support a Cause’ section at Target.com benefit a worthy charitable organization.
