What is SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+?
It’s probably the weirdest form of skin anti aging treatment I’ve ever come across first and foremost. It is designed to prevent pre-mature aging, and it helps protect the skin against environmental damages. It is also supposed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Like a magical skin serum… you know, pretty much the same promises you will find on nearly every wrinkle cream, lotion or gel.
Product Appearance:
SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+ comes in a small 1 ounce amber colored glass dropper bottle. The lid is an actual eye dropper type applicator, and I have never seen an anti aging formula sold in such an odd medicinal like package. Inside of the bottle, the liquid is also a light colored amber, which reminded me of beer.
My Thoughts:
Sounds pretty damn good. Nothing really sticks out though as miraculous, or even enticing. I was given the bottle of SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+, and normally I wouldn’t buy something like this, let alone come across something like this at any local stores, so I was pretty excited to be given the bottle for free, especially seeing that it normally prices at around $70.00 per bottle.
Directions:
The directions printed on the bottle are relatively simple. Basically every morning after cleaning your face, apply 4 to 5 drops on your face, neck, and chest.
Day 1:
I focused extra attention to the small fine lines I have near my eyes. They are small yes, but I was also hoping to get rid of them completely. You know, slow down the aging process if I could.
I followed the simple directions and applied around 4 drops to my neck, face and chest. The stink hit me first and foremost. It smells like stale alcohol, and very chemical like. The scent is harsh, but it absorbed into my skin and the smell also vanished as soon as it absorbed.
After applying my skin felt a little dry and semi tighter, but there was no residue left behind, so it was a plus.
Naturally I did not see any results at all on day 1.
Day 2:
Following the same routine as the day before, yet still no visible reduction of lines, nor is there an improvement in my skins tone or overall appearance.
Day 3:
Same as day 2. Nothing to report here.
Day 4:
Maybe I just slept better, but this morning I noticed that my skin looked a little less dull and tired. Odd too because my face usually looks drained so early in the morning. My small tiny crows feet though are still visible, as are my pores. My chest and neck though look the same.
Day 5:
Nothing to report.
Day 6:
Still nothing to report. At this point I’m beginning to worry, because my skin hasn’t even taken on a new glow, nor are the small lines near my eyes any smaller.
Day 7:
Sigh. As you guessed it, there is still nothing to report.
Day 8:
So I have a pimple today. It’s big, and on my forehead. Right around the same area I have been applying SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+. Now I normally get an occasional pimple, but never do I really get them on my forehead, so I’m really beginning to wonder about this wondrous serum.
Day 9:
Okay well my skin looks a little healthier today, except for the pimple that is still there, beating on my forehead. I figure I’ll pop the sucker tomorrow if it hasn’t gone down.
Day 10:
Hmmm… the small fine lines near my eyes don’t look any smaller, or lesser, but I do notice that the areas around my eyes look less darker. Normally I have permanent dark circles, but for some reason I’m noticing a much nicer color tone going on than usual. To better put it, the area around my eyes look brighter.
Day 11:
No real drastic improvements on the fine lines near my eyes yet. But still, the brighter overall appearance of the area is a nice improvement.
Day 12:
I’m noticing the fine lines near my eyes look slightly smaller, but I am thinking that this illusion is only due to the fact that the skin around eyes in general look much brighter.
Day 13:
Well the pimple is finally gone. My skin has taken on quite a visual improvement. My skin looks tighter, but pores and fine wrinkles around my eyes are still there.
Day 14:
Overall today I can see the improvement is more obvious. Fine lines seem reduced, but the difference is very, very subtle.
Day 15:
I’m liking the overall appearance of my skin. Dark circles under my eyes are completely gone, which I never thought would be possible. My skin looks fresher, more vibrant, but still the fine lines are still there.
Day 16:
No new improvements today. My skin though is much nicer looking and healthier looking than when I first began using SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+.
Day 17:
Still the same.
Day 18:
Fine lines look softer and more faded out today. I think though this was due to the good amount of rest I got the night before.
Day 19:
Fine lines are still present, but they are indeed more faded looking.
Day 20:
The same as yesterday. Lines seem more faded, and my skin is overall looking very nice.
Overall:
Although I found SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+ to work, it did not work miracles.
To get the best review to you possible. I stopped using SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+ all together for an entire month after hitting Day 20.
Unfortunately with many wrinkle creams, they only work if you are using them daily. The same goes for SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+. As soon as I stopped using it daily, I noticed my bad skin and fine lines coming back faster than they had gone away.
I feel that SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+ is only useful if you plan on buying it all of the time. It seems as soon as you stop using it, your skin goes right smack back to the way it was before, and it does not take long at all.
As far as the pricing goes, it’s entirely up to you on whether or not you want to purchase SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+.
Like I said though, if you do not plan on purchasing it every time you run out of it, it’s going to be wasteful, and this is one very expensive skin care regime you will have to follow day to day.
Yes it works, but only if you use it daily, and only if you continue caring for your skin even after the bottle runs out.
Where To Buy:
I have no clue where my uncle scooped this one up, but it can be purchased on many online beauty supply stores. Click here for one store that sells SkinCeuticals Serum 15 AOX+.
