Some say that the old abandoned house in the forest is haunted by evil entities. Being the daring person that she is, Krissy took the dare from her friends and went to the old house alone. She stepped cautiously up onto the creaky porch and knocked timidly on the front door. As she stood watching in stunned shock, the door slowly creaked open all by itself. Suddenly a ghostly hand reached out and grabbed Krissy by both shoulders, causing her to scream at the top of her lungs.
The ghostly hand pulled Krissy into the haunted house and the door slammed shut behind her. She glanced nervously around the room, noticing sheet covered furniture and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and in the corners. The floorboards creaked loudly behind her and she quickly spun around but there was no one in the room with her.
Krissy decided to explore the old house and she entered a small bathroom, where she saw live spiders crawling around in the bathtub. With shivers coursing down her spine, she quickly ran from the bathroom and dashed up the steep staircase. A white figure floated in the upstairs hallway, causing Krissy to stop dead in her tracks. As she stood frozen in terror, the ghostly figure suddenly turned around and started to float slowly towards her.
Krissy fled back down the staircase to the first floor and there she saw a black cat strolling around in the living room. It turned around to face her and she noticed that it had red glowing eyes. The cat suddenly hissed loudly, and then it began to claw frantically at a closet door. As Krissy watched with terror-filled eyes, the closet door slowly inched open. Taking a cautious step forward, she peeked inside but didn’t see anything in the darkness.
Krissy went into the kitchen and found a flashlight lying on top of the refrigerator. She took it down, wiped off the cobwebs and returned to the closet. As she shined the flashlight inside the closet’s dark interior, its beam reflected off the cat’s red glowing eyes. She jumped back in stunned surprise, not expecting the cat to be there.
The black cat suddenly began to hiss at something behind Krissy and she quickly spun around again. Across the room stood a green faced witch, her sinister laugh was echoing around the sparsely furnished room. As Krissy began to tremble uncontrollably in fear, the evil witch suddenly vanished right before her eyes.
The black cat darted out of the closet and vanished into a tiny room that Krissy hadn’t noticed before. She followed the cat into the room and the door slammed shut with a loud bang. Krissy pulled and yanked frantically on the tarnished brass knob but the door wouldn’t open. While fighting against her growing panic, she shined the flashlight around the dark, windowless room, then she collapsed onto the cold wooden floor. Within moments she had drifted off into a deep sleep, forever trapped inside the tiny room.
Krissy was never seen again, but it’s rumored that her ghostly voice can be heard shouting for help from inside the house in the forest.
