Hats off to these Saints that just keep me amazed one game after the next. Wow what a win last night. Was that a basketball game or wha? These football players are making a difference in the community, with their very own foundation, starting with the infamous Drew Brees. How ’bout him? Well how about him and Mrs. Brees? Let’s see…
The Brees couple founded the Brees Dream Foundation back in 2003 in memory of Judith Zopp. This foundation is commited to finding a cure for cancer. That is not all though, they also take pride in helping the families and patients who are effected by cancer. Hey and that is still not all either. The Brees Dream Foundation also gives to the youth of their community through scholarships and events.
Marques Colston founded the Colston Charities. This foundation is commited in aiding the underpriviledged children in their community. They are also dedicated in teaching them to become better citizens to be a strength and asset to the community.
Charles Grant has the S.A.C.K. Success Foundation which helps two communities. These being the New Orleans and South Georgia communities. They specialize in promoting programs that enhance the quality of life for families and children in the community. They help to bring the community back to life with educational developement, wellness and even through financial means.
Kevin and Kristen Houser founded Life’s a Snap in 2001. This is a non profit organization that is directly affiliated with the National Heritage Foundation that is located in Washington DC. There are offices in Cleveland, Ohio as well as New Orleans, Louisiana and they are dedicated in aiding in the well being of seriously ill children in the community.
The Catch 22 Foundation is founded by Deuce McAllister. This organization is dedicated in helping the underpriviledged youth in the community. This organization reaches throughout the Gulf South Region. They specialize in providing role models, financial assistance and opportunities for children in their communities.
The 34 Ways Foundation was brought forth in 2002 and offers a support organization to encourage kids through football camps and other programs. This program was founded by Mike McKenzie. it is much like a football camp. The kids ages 11-18 are taught discipline, character enhancment, good health promotion and academics through this program.
There is more that the Saints offer to their community and they would love for you to visit their site. Surely the foundations are great for the kids that have been effected by the hurricanes. Don’t forget to stop by their site. NewOrleansSaints.com
