Uncle Buck’s Riding Stable and Dance Barn is located in the Hocking Hills area of southern Ohio. The Lady Buck Saloon offers great food, and music, all inside of a rustic open-air barn, with the beautiful scenery in full view throughout the evening. Horseback riding through guided trails wind around ponds, and the Moonville Tunnel area near Lake Hope State Park. The party barn ant Uncle Bucks Riding Stable and Dance Barn is also available for rent for private parties and weddings. Several horseback weddings have been held in this popular Hocking Hills area of Ohio. Baby Buck’s beer garden is a great way to socialize with other horse fans, with drink charges the only cost of admittance.
Riders are charges $25 per hour for trail rides. For experienced riders the Horseman’s Camp trail is another popular option for a natural getaway, and traverses Raccoon Creek. Cover fees for the Lady Buck Saloon vary, but are nominal. Lake Alma State Park is located in the northern section of Vinton County, near the Village of Hamden. This historic state park features a unique island in the middle of the large lake, which once housed a Ferris wheel in the 1930’s. A dog beach is a new addition to Lake Alma State Park. The pet friendly area is attracting many additional visitors to this beautiful area of Appalachia.
A gazebo located near the water has become a popular site for weddings, and even the occasional proposal. Visitors can book an island group camp for less than $5 per night.
