A little over a year after my son Gabe was born I had to have gull bladder surgery. Talk about adding pain onto pain. It took me over a month to recover from my surgery and during that whole time I never once left the house to go shopping or pretty much do anything. I personally just didn’t have the energy. Until the one day where I got up the strength to go to Walmart with my son to buy a few groceries.
Now let me begin this story by saying that no-one ever told me that once you have gull bladder surgery you will never be the same again after you eat a meal. Wow, I really wish someone would of told me that because the worst thing I did that day before Walmart was have a salad at Cracker Barrel. For some reason their salads always did the trick in messing with my stomach about an hour later. However, I thought I had enough time to make it to Walmart pick up a few things and then head back home but as soon as I hit isle 2 I was in the need for the bathroom like no-one could understand. Being that I was by myself with Gabe I had to take him into the bathroom with me. So we both high-tailed it over to the closest restroom and grabbed the first stall. Thankfully I made it on time and bless no-one else’s heart for being in there.
As I got done doing what no-one wants to talk about about I changed my son’s diaper and washed our hands and headed for the door. Free and clear from doing something in a place that is usually packed to the gore however my son was going to let it be known to whoever passed by what Mommy did. As soon as we opened the door Gabe looked at the lady coming in and said “PHEW, Mommy’s butt stinks”, talk about red-faced and eye popping moment. I know kids will say the most craziest things at time but I was so happy to have been feeling better that I wasn’t thinking about what my son would say. The lady laughed and what else could I do but giggle along with her and say “Well you know when it is that time to go, you can’t hold it”, hello Amy you just made that matter worse. It was like open mouth insert foot moment big time and all thanks to my little boy. Now I wished it would of stopped there but thankfully kids can never let you live things down and as we walked throughout the store he kept saying the same old thing over and over. I eventually picked out a toy which made him hush up a little while longer, well at least until Daddy got home and he had to tell him and then I had to tell my husband the whole story. Needless to say I caused many giggle moments for people that day!
