Spurred by a price drop in the fall, the Xbox 360 recorded its biggest year ever in 2008. Microsoft is looking to keep the momentum going in 2009 with yet another strong lineup of quality titles throughout the year. The spring season looks especially jam-packed with great games. Here are the top five most anticipated Xbox 360 titles of the spring.

The Otogi games on the Xbox were some of the most overlooked titles last-generation. Ninja Blade is the spiritual successor to these excellent action games. Thanks to the visceral gameplay and cinematic sequences, Ninja Blade is looking like one of the best games in the genre on the Xbox 360. This spring title may finally be the breakout game the developer needed.

The Ace Combat series has always been on the throne of the flight combat genre. Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. is looking to challenge it for the top spot with dazzling visuals in addition to realistic settings and fighter jets. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athenabrings the excellent game into the high-definition era on the Xbox 360.
