We all know ‘Seinfeld’ fans; after all, it was only one of the most popular shows of all time. I know a lot of people who still watch the reruns over and over again, and I know there are a lot of other ‘Seinfeld’ fanatics out there. If you know anyone who is obsessed with all things ‘Seinfeld’, from Festivus to Kramer’s crazy inventions, you might want to make them a unique Christmas gift basket based on the show full of fun items like these:
Junior Mints – Kramer’s love of these minty, chocolatey treats is almost deadly
Juji Fruits – the candy that gets Elaine in trouble with her hospitalized boyfriend
A Snickers bar tied to a knife and fork with a piece of ribbon – Elaine’s boss eats this candy bar in a very unique (and annoying!) way
Small bottle of Peppermint Schnapps – the alcoholic beverage that makes Elaine open “the vault”
‘Tropic of Cancer’ – The library book that Jerry had since the 70’s and never returned
Handheld Frogger game – George becomes obsessed with an old Frogger arcade game that he has the high score on in one episode. You can find a handheld version of the game here, and a cool tabletop mini arcade version here.
A box of envelopes – what kills George’s fiancé
Shirt with puffy sleeves – Jerry accidentally agrees to wear this embarrassment on national TV (you could probably find one at any store that sells pirate costumes)
A bra – Elaine tries to give her non-bra wearing ‘friend’ a bra as a gift, but she simply wears it as a shirt, making Elaine hate her even more than before (or it could be considered a ‘bro’ or ‘mansseire’)
Soup Nazi soup – the real ‘Soup Nazi’ offers his wares online. You can find them here.
A loaf of marble rye – the bread that Jerry tries to steal from a little old lady
Bizarro comics – there’s a whole episode based on ‘bizarro’ characters, and Jerry mentions the bizarro world in a few episodes, as well as ‘Superman’ comic books. You can find a good collection here.
Muffin tops – bake a few muffins, cut the bottoms off, and put them in a plastic baggy (but what will you do with the bottoms now?!)
Label maker – a big part of the regifting episode
New York Yankees merchandise – the sports team that George worked for
Gift certificates for movie theaters – the gang was always going to the movies
You don’t want to purchase all of these items, of course, especially since some of them are really just gag gifts, but you could choose a few of them to put with another ‘Seinfeld’-related item that would be a little more useful, like the ‘Seinfeld’ Scene It? game, which you can find here; some awesome ‘Seinfeld’ T-Shirts from 80’s Tees; a book all about the show, like this one; or a season of the DVD’s. Additionally, if there are any items from the show that you remember, you can get creative and add those to the basket. Oh, and don’t forget your ‘Happy Festivus’ card!
