I tend to be a fun and quirky character. Needless to say, when I got married, I wasn’t necessarily looking to stick with formal traditions or plain color schemes. I wanted fun items that would showcase the fun relationship my husband and I have. From the music to the flowers, we enjoyed finding unique touches that made our wedding special and fun for us (and also for our guests).
One wedding vendor that helped us meet our needs for a fun, yet still classic wedding, was something I happened onto one day in the grocery store. I picked up a copy of Weddingstar magazine and found fun and quirky items for sale either with the order forms within the magazine or through the company’s website: http://www.weddingstar.com/.
What I noticed immediately about Weddingstar’s offerings was that they were fun, yet they were still classy and formal enough to please even the pickiest family members or attendees. Weddingstar offers all kinds of wedding cake toppers, wedding invitations, and favors. If you are looking for personalized items, this is a good destination. Several items can be personalized with the names or initials of the couple or a special message to their guests.
If you are planning a themed wedding, Weddingstar is a great resource. The company offers a variety of items in full collections to fit over 20 themes, including “Autumn Splendor,” “Floral Fantasy,” “Romantic Vintage Western,” “Bronze Elegance,” and “Celtic Charm.” These themes and items range from the classic white to the bold and bright.
While we did not have an actual “theme,” we did focus on autumn colors and leaves. The Weddingstar website was really helpful to me as I thought about items and color combinations that would fit our interests.
An additional Weddingstar feature that would be helpful to many brides is the sample page. The samples are not free, but they are relatively cheap. If you want to order favors for your guests or specialized candies but are afraid to just go for it and order in bulk from a website (when you’ve never seen the real thing in person), you can order a sample to test drive the product.
The items I ordered for my wedding (and one fun item just for me) were cake toppers, a tossing bouquet made of silk flowers, vases for our sand ceremony (which we did in place of the more traditional unity candle lighting) and flip flops for the beach. The fun thing about the flip flops was that they would imprint the words, “Just Married” in the sand. Check out the photos I submitted to see the cake toppers, sand ceremony vases, and the toss bouquet. I can almost guarantee that you’ll like them!
If you are getting married and want to add some fun, unique, or personalized items to your wedding ceremony or reception, pick up a copy of Weddingstar magazine or check out the website at http://www.weddingstar.com/. I enjoyed the products I purchased greatly and was even pleased with how quickly the items were shipped to my home.
