Week 13: Defense Rankings Fantasy Football 2008

by yup tab

Fantasy Football Defense Rankings for Week 13. Here is a ranking list for fantasy football defenses based on matchups and potential fantasy football point outcomes for week 13.

DEFENSE RANKINGS – WEEK 13

1. Baltimore – @Cincinnati
The potential for half a dozen sacks and an interception or two is there.

2. Tennessee – @Detroit
Like Baltimore above, half a dozen sacks and an interception or two is likely with no NFL caliber quarterback on the Lions team right now.

3. New York Giants – @Washington

4. Pittsburgh – @New England

5. New York Jets – Denver
Cutler has been a turnover machine lately, and the NY Jets are very good at forcing turnovers.

6. Tampa Bay – New Orleans

7. Chicago – @Minnesota

8. Minnesota – Chicago

9. Miami – @St Louis
A matchup against the terrible Rams offense makes Miami a great spot starter this week.

10. Buffalo – San Francisco
After a revival last week, Buffalo played like the 4-0 team we saw to start the season. A matchup against the bad 49ers offense makes Buffalo a great spot starter this week.

11. Arizona – @Philadelphia
If McNabb once again struggles and is benched, Arizona is a decent fill in spot starter this week.

12. Green Bay – Carolina

13. Kansas City – @Oakland

14. Indianapolis – @Cleveland

15. Carolina – @Green Bay

16. Jacksonville – @Houston

17. Dallas – Seattle

18. New England – Pittsburgh

19. Philadelphia – Arizona

20. Houston – Jacksonville

21. San Diego – Atlanta

22. New Orleans – @Tampa Bay

23. Oakland – Kansas City

24. Washington – New York Giants

25. Atlanta – @San Diego

26. Seattle – @Dallas

27. San Francisco – @Buffalo

Week 13 Rankings

WEEK 13 – KICKER RANKINGS

Last Week’s Results – Week 12:
Here is a follow-up of my defense picks from last week.

1. Pittsburgh – Cincinnati
The possibility for half a dozen sacks and an interception or two is there.
Week 12 = 10 points allowed, 1 sack, 1 interception

2. Tennessee – New York Jets
Simply put…Favre throws interceptions, and the Titans D leads the NFL in interception takeaways.
Week 12 = 34 points allowed, 2 sacks, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovery

3. Tampa Bay – @Detroit
The Buccaneers D should get their fair share of sacks on the mobile Culpepper, with an interception or two likely as well.
Week 12 = 14 points allowed, 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, 1 touchdown

4. Chicago – @St Louis
The Bears D got trounced last week, so you can bet they don’t want to get embarrassed by the Rams offense this week.
Week 12 = 3 points allowed, 5 sacks, 4 interceptions

5. Baltimore – Philadelphia
Week 12 = 7 points allowed, 2 sacks, 1 safety, 4 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, 1 blocked kick, 1 touchdown

6. New York Giants – @Arizona
Week 12 = 29 points allowed, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovery

7. Minnesota – @Jacksonville
Good matchup for Minnesota, assuming Jared Allen plays… But even if he doesn’t, Minnesota should still post a pretty good fantasy week against a so-so Jaguars offense.

Week 12 = 13 points allowed, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery
