Week 13 Picks and Predictions for the NFL for Free from an Expert

by yup tab

After correctly predicting that the Jets would upset the Titans, we are back with the latest installment of picks and predictions for the NFL. Here is the week 13 schedule, as well as the predictions for the games:

*Tennessee Titans (10-1) at Detroit Lions (0-11) **Thanksgiving Day** — Only days after losing their undefeated season, the Titans are going to be out for revenge against an extremely over-matched Lions team.

Prediction – Titans by 17

*Seattle Seahawks (2-9) at Dallas Cowboys (7-4) **Thanksgiving Day** — Though Seattle is playing better, so are the Cowboys, and Dallas is looking to gain some momentum on possibly securing a playoff spot. Expect them to play some very hard-nosed football on Thursday.

Prediction – Cowboys by 10

*Arizona Cardinals (7-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (5-5-1) **Thanksgiving Day** — The Eagles are falling apart, and it is a sure bet that the Cardinals smell blood in the water. Even though this is a West team going to the East, the Cardinals should pull this one out.

Prediction – Cardinals by 5

*San Francisco 49ers (3-8) at Buffalo Bills (6-5) – The Bills pulled out a good win against Kansas City, and the 49ers are struggling. Add to it the predicted COLD weather in Buffalo, and it may be too much for the 49ers. They may keep it close, but this one could also get away from them quickly too.

Prediction – Bills by 7

*Baltimore Ravens (7-4) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-9-1) – The Bengals are really, really over-matched, and the Ravens are really, really good on defense. This could be the biggest blow-out of the weekend.

Prediction – Ravens by 20

*Carolina Panthers (8-3) at Green Bay Packers (5-6) – The Packers are in a must-win situation, and Rodgers is starting to hear it about under-performing recently. The struggles could continue if Delhomme comes out hot at all.

Prediction – Panthers by 6

*New York Giants (10-1) at Washington Redskins (7-4) **Sunday Night** — This should be a great game, and quite a challenge for the defending Super Bowl champions, but it could get out of hand if the Giants defense can stop Portis. Look for Eli Manning to play up for the big game and the tv time.

Prediction – Giants by 10

*New Orleans Saints (6-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-3) – The Bucs have been playing very well lately, and Jeff Garcia seems to be re-born again. The competition will be fierce, and this one could come down to who can score on that last possession.

Prediction – Saints by 3

*Indianapolis Colts (7-4) at Cleveland Browns (4-7) – The Browns continue to improve under their new quarterback (Quinn), but they are coming up against a VERY hot Peyton Manning and crew. The Colts are looking to keep pace in the AFC, and will come out with quite a fever.

Prediction – Colts by 13

*Miami Dolphins (6-5) at St. Louis Rams (2-9) – Playing for their playoff lives, the Dolphins will have to come out serious, and they probably will against the over-matched Rams. Chad Pennington is making a name for himself, and a win this week could make people stand up and notice again.

Prediction – Dolphins by 11

*Atlanta Falcons (7-4) at San Diego Chargers (4-7) – Atlanta has been pretty good, and San Diego has really been playing bad lately. That will all be forgotten on this particular Sunday though, as Tomlinson and Rivers come out strong and win one for the home crowd.

Prediction – Chargers by 13

*Kansas City Chiefs (1-10) at Oakland Raiders (3-8) – The Chiefs are abysmal, and will end up making their division mate Raiders look very good on Sunday, as Russell should come out as strong as ever. The only question is, will anyone be watching?

Prediction – Raiders by 10

*Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3) at New England Patriots (7-4) – Cassel and Moss are on the same page, and are presenting a really good offense for the Patriots. On the other side of the ball though, the Steelers are working with a great defense, and with Roethlisberger looking to have a good week, this will be a great game to watch.

Prediction – Steelers by 4

*Denver Broncos (6-5) at New York Jets (8-3) – The Jets are flying high after their win over the then undefeated Titans. Brett Favre has 2461 passing yards already, and will look to add another 300 plus as the Jets go to town on the faltering Broncos.

Prediction – Jets by 9

*Chicago Bears (6-5) at Minnesota Vikings (6-5) – The Vikings are going to be good on offense and the Bears are not, thus leading to a more one-sided game than many fans might expect.

Prediction – Vikings by 14

*Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7) at Houston Texans (4-7) **Monday Day Night Football** — In the toss up game of the week, and probably the worst Monday Night ratings of the season, the Jaguars should pull out a tight (and ugly) game near the very end.

Prediction — Jaguars by 3
